Abstract: Disclosed is an air conditioner. The air conditioner of the present disclosure includes: an outdoor unit; at least one indoor unit configured to cool and heat an indoor space while repeating operation (Thermo-ON) and operation stop (Thermo-OFF); a sensor unit configured to measure a temperature and humidity of each indoor space where the at least one indoor unit is located; and a controller, wherein the controller calculates a sensible heat load and a latent heat load of each indoor space, based on a time when the operation stop occurs, a time when the operation starts again after the operation stop occurs, and temperature and humidity information of each indoor space, derives target sensible heat and target latent heat based on the calculated sensible heat load and latent heat load, and derives a target refrigerant temperature and an air volume of the at least one indoor unit based on the target sensible heat and the target latent heat. Accordingly, indoor sensible heat and latent heat loads can be accurately derived, and the operation efficiency of the air conditioner can be improved.

Abstract: A method of controlling an air conditioner is disclosed. The method of controlling an air conditioner of the present disclosure includes an outdoor unit; and a plurality of indoor units respectively comprising a vane connected to the outdoor unit and adjusting a wind direction, and a fan for forming an air flow, the method comprising: detecting an indoor temperature of each of the plurality of indoor units through a temperature sensor disposed in each of the plurality of indoor units; specifying an indoor unit having a temperature imbalance as a target indoor unit based on the indoor temperature of each of the plurality of indoor units detected through the temperature sensor; specifying indoor units adjacent to the target indoor unit as a support indoor unit; and performing a support operation for resolving a temperature imbalance of the target indoor unit by adjusting a vane and a fan of the support indoor unit.

Abstract: An air conditioner according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: an outdoor unit including a compressor for compressing a refrigerant; at least one indoor unit; a storage for storing a previously learned control algorithm in relation to control of a component included in the air conditioner; and a controller, wherein when the operation mode of the air conditioner is set to the first mode, the controller controls at least one of the outdoor unit and the at least one indoor unit regardless of the control algorithm, and on the basis of the first data acquired while the mode is set, an power quantity learning model related to the actual power quantity consumed by the air conditioner while the first mode is set is learned, and the operation mode of the air conditioner is set to the second mode. In the case of controlling at least one of the outdoor unit and the at least one indoor unit based on the control algorithm, second data acquired while the second mode is set and corresponding to the second mode based on the power quantity learning model. The estimated power quantity and the actual power quantity consumed by the air conditioner while the second mode is set may be calculated, respectively.
