Abstract: Disclosed are a mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same. The mobile terminal includes a flexible display unit including a first portion, a second portion rotatably provided based on a first boundary region formed at one side of the first portion, and a third portion rotatably provided based on a second boundary region formed at one side of the second portion; and a controller configured to control screen information being output to at least one of the first portion, the second portion and the third portion, based on a preset touch input applied to at least one of the first portion, the second portion and the third portion, wherein the controller is configured to control screen information being output to at least one of the first portion, the second portion and the third portion, based on sensing of a rotation on the basis of at least one of the first and second boundary regions.
