Abstract: An X-ray imaging apparatus includes an X-ray generator including a plurality of X-ray sources, an X-ray detector configured to detect X-rays radiated from the plurality of X-ray sources and generate a plurality of pieces of projection data, and a processor configured to apply log projection to each of the plurality of pieces of projection data, to apply weighted projection to the log-projected projection data, to apply a bidirectional ramp filter to the weighted-projected projection data, and to generate a tomographic image reconstructed based on each of the projection data to which the bidirectional ramp filter is applied.

Abstract: A linear compressor and a method for controlling a compressor are provided. The compressor may include a piston that reciprocates within a cylinder, a linear motor that supplies a driving force to the piston, a discharge device through which a refrigerant compressed in the cylinder by the reciprocating motion of the piston is discharged, a pressure changing device that changes a variation rate of pressure applied to the piston before the piston reaches a virtual discharge surface (VDS) during the reciprocating motion, to prevent collision between the piston and the discharge device. The virtual discharge surface may be formed on at least a portion of the discharge device facing a compression space within the cylinder.

Abstract: A rotary compressor may include a rotary shaft; a plurality of plates that supports the rotary shaft; a cylinder provided between the plurality of plates to define a compression space, and provided with a vane slot; a roller slidably coupled to the rotary shaft inside of the cylinder, and having a hinge groove on an outer circumferential surface thereof; and a vane, a first end which is slidably coupled to the vane slot of the cylinder, and a second end of which is rotatably coupled to the hinge groove of the roller. At least one of axial end surfaces of the roller facing the plurality of plates is provided with a wear avoiding portion having a predetermined depth. Contact surfaces between the roller and the plate may be suppressed from being in close contact with each other to suppress the roller or the plate from being damaged or a performance of the compressor due to friction loss from being deteriorated, thereby improving reliability and performance of the compressor.

Abstract: A linear compressor is provided which is capable of reducing noise and fabrication costs. The linear compressor may include a piston that performs a reciprocating motion within a cylinder, a linear motor that supplies a driving force to the piston, a sensor that detects a motor voltage and motor current associated with the motor, a valve plate provided at one end of the cylinder to adjust a discharge of a refrigerant compressed in the cylinder, a pressure changing unit or device that changes a variation rate of pressure applied to the piston before the piston reaches the valve plate during the reciprocating motion, and a controller that determines whether the variation rate of the pressure applied to the piston has changed using the detected motor voltage and motor current, and controls the motor to prevent the piston from colliding with the valve plate on the basis of the determination result.
