Abstract: A mobile terminal, a home appliance and a method for operating the same are disclosed. The mobile terminal includes a display configured to display a predetermined screen, a near field communication (NFC) module configured to transmit or receive information related to the screen to or from a home appliance by tagging to the home appliance, and a controller configured to control display of the information received from the home appliance on the display. Accordingly, it is possible to transmit information between the home appliance and the mobile terminal via NFC.

The controller may control setting of information, related to any one access point device among a plurality of access point devices stored in the mobile terminal, for connecting to an access point device with respect to the home appliance when product registration of the home appliance is not completed when a login item is selected on the application screen. The controller may also control to transmit a media access control (MAC) address of the access point device to the home appliance based on the set information and perform product registration for the home appliance.
