Abstract: A washing machine includes a casing having an input port which is formed in a front surface thereof and to which laundry is inputted; a tub which is disposed in the casing to contain fluid, and has an opening communicating with the input port; a drum which is rotatably disposed in the tub, and contains the laundry; a pump which pumps water discharged from the tub; a circulation conduit which guides the water pumped by the pump; an annular gasket which forms a channel connecting the input port and the opening of the tub, and has a plurality of nozzles for spraying water into the drum on an inner circumferential surface defining the channel; and a nozzle water supply conduit which is fixed to the gasket, and supplies the water pumped by the pump to the plurality of nozzles.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of controlling a laundry dryer for generating high-temperature steam through a steam part and controlling each of rotation of a drum and rotation of a circulation fan. The method includes a steam drying procedure drying operation of increasing an internal temperature of the drum to dry an object to be dried, a steam drying procedure steam supply operation of supplying steam into the drum after the steam drying procedure drying operation, and a re-drying operation of supplying hot air into the drum after the steam drying procedure steam supply operation. When steam is sprayed from the steam part, the rotation of the drum is maintained, the rotation of the circulation fan is stopped, such that the steam is evenly supplied to the object to be dried, damage to the object is prevented, and sterilization of the object is enhanced.

Abstract: A method of controlling a washing machine. The washing machine includes a tub with an entry hole configured to receive laundry, a drum rotatably disposed in the tub, a ring-shaped gasket disposed along a circumference of the entry hole of the tub, a pump configured to circulate water that is discharged from the tub, and at least one circulation nozzle provided in the gasket and configured to spray the water that is circulated by the pump into the drum. The method includes: supplying water into the tub; rotating the drum; accelerating a pump speed of the pump while the drum rotates; and based on the pump speed of the pump reaching a threshold speed during the acceleration of the pump, opening a spray valve of the washing machine such that water supplied from an external water source is sprayed into the drum through a direct water nozzle.

Abstract: A washing machine includes a casing, a tub, a drum, a pump, a gasket that is arranged between a case opening and a tub opening and that includes first nozzles and second nozzles, and a water pipe assembly that includes: first nozzle ports affixed to the first nozzles, second nozzle ports affixed to the second nozzles, a first conduit, and a second conduit. The gasket further includes port insertion pipes into which the first and second nozzle ports are inserted. Each of the first and second nozzle ports includes at least one press-fit protrusion that is formed on an outer circumferential surface of the nozzle supply port and that is configured to, in a state in which the nozzle supply port is inserted into a corresponding port insertion pipe, maintain contact with an inner circumferential surface of the port insertion pipe.
