摘要: Apparatus and methods for manufacturing compostable, biodegradable drink straws from polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) material are disclosed herein. Such apparatus may include a hopper that contains raw PHA material, an extruder that receives the raw PHA material from the hopper and produces extruded PHA material, one or more waters baths that cool the extruded PHA material, a puller that pulls a tubular stream of PHA material through the system, and a cutter that is configured to cut the stream of PHA material into finished straws. The finished straws may be soil- and marine-biodegradable, as well as home- and industrial-compostable.

摘要: A washing machine includes a casing, a tub, a drum, a circulation pump, an annular gasket connecting between openings of the casing and the tub and including circulation nozzles configured to supply water into the drum, and a conduit fixed to the gasket and guiding water to the circulation nozzles. The conduit includes an inlet port configured to receive water from the pump, a transport pipe configured to guide water from the inlet port to the circulation nozzles, and a supply ports configured to supply water to the circulation nozzles. A method for manufacturing a conduit includes positioning supply ports in a cavity defined at a first mold, forming a parison having a hollow opening by extruding a raw material, positioning the parison in the cavity, combining the first mold and a second mold, and injecting gas into the hollow opening of the parison.

摘要: The invention relates to a process for the production of articles, exemplarily a plastic article, by means of an extruder (1) to which a first plastic composition of a first main component and at least one associated minor component is supplied from a first group of dosing stations (21, 24). According to the invention, during the production time of a first production order there is prepared a second group of dosing stations (31, 33) at the extruder for a second production order for which a second plastic composition of a second main component and at least one associated minor component that is different from the first plastic composition has to be supplied to the extruder. After completion of the first production order it is reset to the second production order by terminating the supply of the first plastic composition by closing a first shut-off device (8) and starting the supply of the second plastic composition by opening a second shut-off device (8′).

摘要: A styrene resin extruded foam includes a styrene resin, a flame retarder, a hydrofluoroolefin, an alcohol, and at least one selected from the group consisting of a saturated hydrocarbon having 3 to 5 carbon atoms, dimethyl ether, and alkyl chloride. An amount of the flame retarder is 0.5 to 8.0 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the styrene resin. The styrene resin extruded foam has an apparent density of 20 to 45 kg/m3 and a closed cell ratio of not less than 90%. An amount of the hydrofluoroolefin added is 65 to 90 mol % relative to 100 mol % in total of the hydrofluoroolefin and the alcohol which are added. An amount of the alcohol added is 10 to 35 mol % relative to 100 mol % in total of the hydrofluoroolefin and the alcohol which are added.

摘要: A manufacturing apparatus for liquid crystalline polyester resin pellets that is provided with: a die head with a discharge port for discharging melted liquid crystalline polyester resin supplied to the die head from a reactor through a valve; a cutter for cutting the resin discharged from the die head and solidified; and at least one perforated plate located downstream of the valve and upstream of the discharge port. The hole diameters of a plurality of die holes provided in the discharge port are 3 mm-6 mm and the average hole diameter in the perforated plate is 0.1-1.2 times the hole diameter of the die holes. A manufacturing method for liquid crystalline polyester resin pellets for cutting liquid crystalline polyester resin, which has been discharged from the die head of said apparatus via the discharge port so as to form groups of strands and solidified, into pellet form. Provided is a manufacturing method for liquid crystalline polyester resin pellets, the method having excellent discharge stability and being able to improve productivity of continuous batch polymerization and pellet quality in the step for discharging the melted resin as groups of strands.
