Abstract:
Disclosed are a control panel provided on an apparatus to control the apparatus and a clothes treating apparatus having the same. The clothes treating apparatus includes a includes a cabinet; a drum provided within the cabinet and configured to receive clothes; a driving unit that rotates the drum; a power supply unit that supplies power to the driving unit; and a control panel located on the cabinet. The control panel includes a panel body that defines the external appearance of the control panel; a printed circuit board (PCB) located adjacent to the panel body; input units; and an anti-separation unit located on at least one of the panel body and the PCB and configured to restrict the connection damper from being separated from the bar.
Abstract:
A method of controlling a washing machine includes (a) supplying water into a tub up to a first predetermined level, (b) rotating a basket so as to wash a filter provided between the tub and an opening formed in a lower portion of the basket by a water stream, (c) supplying water to elevate a level of water in the tub from the first predetermined level to a second predetermined level, and (d) rotating the basket to raise the water between the basket and the tub above the upper end of the basket by centrifugal force and to fall into the basket.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a laundry treating apparatus comprising a cabinet having an opening; a laundry accommodating portion mounted in the cabinet and comprising an opening aperture which is communicable with the opening; a door rotatably coupled to the cabinet and provided to open and close the opening; a locking portion detachably coupled to the door; and a coupling portion provided in the cabinet to be repeatedly coupled to or decoupled from the locking portion whenever an external force is applied to the door, wherein the door comprises a first frame provided to open and close the opening; and a second frame coupled to one surface of the first frame, and the locking portion is provided in the first frame and prevented from contacting with the second frame.
Abstract:
A top loading type washing machine including a drum, a hub coupled to the drum, the hub having a hub opening, through which wash water flows in a vertical direction, a filter secured to the hub, the filter having a filter opening, through which the wash water flows in the vertical direction, and a gap forming element formed on at least one of the filter and the hub so as to protrude the other one of the filter and the hub, the gap forming element being configured to form a gap between the filter and the hub. The washing machine provides the flow path of wash water, through which wash water flows in the transverse direction, owing to a gap between the hub and the filter via the gap forming element, and minimizes interference between the wash water and the gap forming element, thus minimizing accumulation of lint on the gap forming element.
Abstract:
A washing machine and a method of controlling the washing machine is provided. The method may include supplying water to a tub, treating laundry by rotating a basket provided in the tub, and discharging water in the tub, wherein discharging the water includes rotating the basket during the water discharge so as to wash a filter, which may be provided between the tub and an opening formed in a lower portion of the basket, using a water stream.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a control panel provided on an apparatus to control the apparatus, a control method thereof, and a clothes treating apparatus having the control panel. The control method includes the actions of receiving, at a clothes treating apparatus, a power supply command through a power input unit; and based on receiving power to the control panel, controlling a target light emission unit located on a panel body of the clothes treating apparatus. The controlling includes the actions of dividing a duty cycle of current supplied to each of a plurality of light emission units into a duty cycle of the target light emission unit and a duty cycle of a background light emission unit, the plurality of light emission units being located under the light discharge unit and being configured to emit light toward the light discharge unit.
