Abstract: The present invention relates to a lithium secondary battery manufactured by forming a negative electrode free battery and then forming a lithium metal on the negative electrode current collector by charging.
In the lithium secondary battery, since lithium metal is formed on the negative electrode current collector in the state of being blocked with the atmosphere, the generation of the conventional surface oxide layer (native layer) formed on the negative electrode does not occur inherently, thereby preventing the reduction of the efficiency and lifetime characteristics of the battery.-

Abstract: An additive for a positive electrode of a lithium secondary battery, the additive including a lithium transition metal oxide, Li3PO4, Li5AlO4 and Li3BO3. The lithium transition metal oxide has an aluminum-doped form. The additive including Li3PO4, Li5AlO4 and Li3BO3 together with the lithium transition metal oxide has functionality of improving stability of a battery when used in a positive electrode of a lithium secondary battery. The Li3PO4, the Li5AlO4 and the Li3BO3 are evenly mixed with the lithium transition metal oxide or some thereof form a partial coating layer, or a portion of aluminum is doped to the lithium transition metal oxide to suppress the lithium transition metal oxide from causing a side reaction with an electrolyte liquid.

Abstract: An additive for a positive electrode of a lithium secondary battery comprising a lithium transition metal oxide, Li3PO4 and Li5AlO4. The lithium transition metal oxide is doped with aluminum. The additive comprising Li3PO4 and Li5AlO4 together with the lithium transition metal oxide has a function of improving battery stability when applied to a positive electrode of a lithium secondary battery. Specifically, when a general lithium transition metal oxide is applied to the positive electrode of a lithium secondary battery, it may cause a side reaction with the electrolyte solution to generate gas in the battery, which may cause a problem with poor stability. However, Li3PO4 and Li5AlO4 are uniformly mixed with the lithium transition metal oxide or partially form a coating layer, and some aluminum is doped into the lithium transition metal oxide to inhibit the lithium transition metal oxide from causing side reactions with the electrolyte solution.
