    Abstract: A magnetic latch for fastening a closure member to a support. The magnetic latch comprises a latch bolt assembly having: an elongated frame (32); a latch bolt moveable between a latching position and a retracted position; a latch bolt operating mechanism having a driving part (36) which is moveable between a rest position and an actuated position; and a locking mechanism to lock the driving part in its rest position. The locking mechanism comprises: a key actuated cylinder (51) having a rotary driving bit (52) and a locking member (54, 59, 61) mounted on the frame and moveable between an unlocking position in which the driving part is moveable, and a locking position in which, when the driving part is in its rest position, it locks the driving part in its rest position, the rotary driving bit being arranged to engage the locking member.

    Abstract: A hinge for coupling a closure member to a support includes a first hinge member and a second hinge member pivotably mounted on the first hinge member through the intermediary of two rolling bearings that are placed between different abutments. The hinge further includes a damping mechanism for damping a closing movement of the closure member; and an energy storing mechanism for storing energy when opening the closure member and using the energy to close the closure member. One of the rolling bearings supports the weight of a right-handed closure member while the other of the rolling bearings supports the weight of a left-handed closure member if the first hinge member is always fixed to the same element.

    Abstract: A magnetic latch for fastening a closure member to a support. The magnetic latch comprises a latch bolt assembly comprising: a first elongated housing configured to be mounted with its rear side facing either the closure member or the support; a second housing connected to and positioned underneath the first housing, the second housing being rotatable with respect to the first housing around the vertical direction between a first rotational position in which the latch bolt assembly is operable for a right-handed closure member and a second rotational position in which the latch bolt assembly is operable for a left-handed closure member; and a latch bolt mounted in the second housing. The different rotational positions of the second housing allow using a horizontally moveable latch bolt while retaining a symmetrical placement on the closure system irrespective of the handedness of the closure member.

    Abstract: A magnetic latch for fastening a closure member to a support. The magnetic latch comprises a keeper assembly including a magnet and a latch bolt assembly having: an elongated frame (32); a latch bolt (14) moveable between a latching position and a retracted position; a latch bolt biasing member urging the latch bolt into its retracted position; and a latch bolt operating mechanism configured to move the latch bolt from its latching position to its retracted position against a magnetic attraction. The latch bolt operating mechanism comprises: an effort link rod (37); a load link rod (34); and a second-order lever (35) interposed between the effort link rod and the load link rod. The second-order lever reduces the force required to operate the latch bolt operating mechanism thus allowing for an increased magnetic attraction of the latch bolt towards the magnet in the keeper assembly.

    Abstract: An electric strike having two keepers arranged to pivot about respective shafts extending in a longitudinal direction, a lock lever for locking the keepers in a door-locking position, the lock lever being arranged to pivot about a second shaft extending in a direction that is transverse to the longitudinal direction and parallel to the backside of the strike; and an actuation mechanism for actuating the lock lever. The keepers form side walls of a bolt cavity and are arranged to pivot between a door-locking position and a door-releasing position. Therefore, the bolt may exit the cavity in two directions, e.g., a first direction for a left-handed closure member and a second direction for a right-handed closure member. The strike can thus be mounted in the same orientation for both left-handed and right-handed closure members.

Moreover, the orientation of the second shaft enables arranging the lock lever, and the electromagnet, above and/or underneath the keeper, thereby reducing the total depth of the strike.

    Abstract: A fixture set for fixing an accessory to a wall includes a bolt; a splitter having a sleeve portion and a wedge portion; and a metal anchor configured to be screwed to the bolt and having radially expandable arms configured to slide along surfaces of the wedge portion when the anchor is urged to slide in a first direction.     Abstract: A hydraulically damped actuator closes a hinged closure system. The actuator includes an energy storing mechanism that stores energy when the closure system is being opened and restores the energy to effect closure of the closure system. A hydraulic damping mechanism damps the closing movement of the closure system. The actuator further includes a tubular cylinder barrel with first and a second ends and a rotatable shaft with first and a second extremities. The shaft extends through the tubular cylinder barrel. Both extremities of the shaft are available to be connected with a mechanical connector that transfers rotation of the closure system to the shaft, which allows the actuator to be mounted in two opposing orientations depending on the handedness of the closure system.
