摘要： A photographic apparatus for use with self-developing film wherein the apparatus comprises a light-tight housing assembly having a film unit exit for allowing the film units to exit the housing assembly; an exposure control assembly including a shutter button; the exposure control assembly includes a biased carriage assembly movable between ambient, strobe and strobe charge positions in response to manual displacement thereof; a spread roller assembly including spread rollers for spreading the processing fluid in the film units; a manually operable drive mechanism is mounted in the housing assembly for bidirectional linear movement between extended and retracted positions and carries a pick for engaging and advancing a topmost film unit of the film stack into the nip, and for rotatably driving the spread roller member in response to pulling of the drive mechanism by an operator to process the film unit and eject the same from the exit; and, an interlocking assembly cooperates with the shutter button and the drive mechanism to prevent the drive mechanism from moving until the shutter button is actuated, and preventing the drive mechanism from being reinserted into the housing assembly until the drive mechanism has been pulled sufficiently so that a film unit has been processed by the spread roller member and exits the housing assembly.

摘要： A folding camera of the self-developing type having a housing containing a film cassette, the housing being movable into and out of an erected picture taking position in which an end of the film cassette is exposed to ambient light. A shade having a laterally extending opening therein dimensioned to permit the passage therethrough of a film unit is mounted on the housing for movement between a first position, wherein the opening is in alignment with a film exit slot in the film cassette when the housing is in a collapsed position, and a second position wherein the shade prevents entry of ambient light into the film cassette via its slot when the housing is moving into and out of an erected position.

摘要： A camera for use with instant film includes a spread roller assembly including superposed rollers for spreading a processing liquid between predetermined layers of an exposed film unit to initiate the formation of a visible image therein while simultaneously advancing the film unit to the exterior of the camera. The spread roller assembly is pivotally coupled to a housing of the camera for movement between its operative spreading position and an inoperative position wherein the spread rollers are more easily accessible for maintenance procedures, the movement being in response to the manual movement of a light shield into an inoperative position.

摘要： A hand-held camera adapted for use with a film cassette containing at least one film unit and a separate overlying opaque cover sheet which is adapted to protect the film unit from exposure during the loading of the cassette into the camera. The camera includes a film cassette positioning member drivingly engageable with a film advancing apparatus and with a pair of juxtaposed rollers, and a manually operable member connected with the film cassette positioning member. Upon actuation of the manually operable member, the film cassette positioning member is moved to thereby reposition the film cassette within the camera while simultaneously driving the film advancing apparatus in a manner which moves the opaque cover sheet partially out of the film cassette and into the bite of the rollers, which in turn continue its movement away from the film cassette thereby preparing the film unit for exposure.

摘要： A camera having a pair of spaced lenses for sequentially exposing successive adjacent portions of the same light sensitive surface of a film unit. A pair of opaque doors, each having a photocell thereon, are pivotally mounted in overlying relation to the adjacent portions of the film unit and directly in front of the focal plane of the lenses. The doors are mounted for simultaneous movement between a first position wherein one of the doors and its associated photocell is located beyond the light path between one of the lenses and one of the adjacent portions of the film unit while the other door and its associated photocell overlies the other portion of the film unit so as to prevent exposure thereof, and a second position wherein the one door overlies the one portion of the film unit so as to prevent exposure thereof and the other door is located beyond the light path between the other of the two lenses and the other portion of the film unit. The doors are coupled to a shutter release button such that depression of the button, when the doors are in the first position, results in initiating exposure of the one portion of the film unit to light passing through one of the lenses while the other photocell responds to the light passing through the other lens to control the exposure; and release of the shutter button results in the doors moving into the second position in preparation for the exposure of the other portion of the film unit to light passing through the other lens, which exposure will be controlled in accordance with the intensity of the light passing through the one lens and striking the one photocell.

摘要： A foldable camera having a base housing containing a self-developing film unit, and an upper housing including an objective lens. The housings extend generally parallel to each other, and in the folded inoperative position, the upper housing overlies and engages the lower housing forming a compact unit. In moving between the folded and unfolded positions, the upper housing moves through planes generally parallel to the base housing, such action being provided by a linkage. A foldable flash unit is movable between a folded inoperative position extending over the upper housing and covering the objective lens, and an unfolded position projecting above the upper housing to expose a flash. In one preferred embodiment, a viewfinder housing is mounted by a linkage to the upper housing for movement between a folded inoperative position extending in a passage formed in the upper housing and an unfolded operative position projected above and extending generally parallel to the upper housing and exposing a viewfinder lens located in the viewfinder housing.
