Abstract: A flexible lengthwise fastener is provided with a first retainer provided with a lengthwise substrate. The lengthwise fastener is also provided with a second retainer provided with a lengthwise substrate to engage with the lengthwise substrate of the first retainer. When the first retainer and the second retainer are combined, the first retainer and the second retainer provide the appearance of a traditional seam.

Abstract: A mold component for forming a foamed part with a three-dimensional shape includes a magnetic block having a first face that defines a curved three-dimensional surface with a hook strip-receiving recess positioned above the magnetic block. The magnetic block is configured to be placed in a mold with a hook strip placed in the hook strip-receiving recess. The hook strip has a ferrous metal-containing component such that the magnetic block attracts and holds the hook strip with the hook strip conforming to the curved three-dimensional surface. Characteristically, the mold component is configured to be applied in a molding process to mold the three-dimensional shape in the foamed part wherein the hook strip attaches to a trim cover.

Abstract: A vehicle seating system may include a seat part having a trim material positioned over a base material. A method for producing the seating system may include configuring an attachment arrangement to have an adhesive material and a non-adhesive material bonded to the adhesive material. The method may also include molding the base material onto the non-adhesive material such that a surface of the adhesive material faces outward away from the base material. The trim material may be disposed over the base material such that a back side of the trim material is adhered to the adhesive material.
