Abstract: To detect facsimile calls that are initiated manually by a user, a method is used that utilizes the detection of a called (CED) tone generated by a receiving facsimile machine. The detection is performed by a signal processor. Once the detection is made, the facsimile call is transmitted using an appropriate protocol.
