Abstract: A driving tool includes a flywheel, a driver held to be movable between an initial position and a driving position along an movement axis, a ring member configured to transmit rotational energy of the flywheel to the driver, and a driver moving mechanism configured to move the driver with respect to the ring member from the initial position to a transmitting position. When the driver is placed in the initial position, the ring member is disposed loosely around the outer periphery of the flywheel. When the driver is moved to the transmitting position by the driver moving mechanism, the ring member is frictionally engaged with the driver and with the flywheel, rotated by the flywheel, and transmits the rotational energy to the driver, thereby pushing the driver from the transmitting position toward the driving position.

Abstract: A driving tool includes a tool body, a flywheel, a driver and a pressing mechanism. The pressing mechanism is disposed on a side opposite to the flywheel across the driver in a facing direction in which the flywheel and the driver face each other. The pressing mechanism includes a spring mechanism and a pressing roller. The spring mechanism includes a first spring part and a second spring part and is configured to be displaced along with forward movement of the driver. The pressing roller is configured to press the driver toward the flywheel in the facing direction by a biasing force of the spring mechanism in a process of the forward movement of the driver, to thereby enable transmission of the rotational energy to the driver. A spring constant of the whole spring mechanism varies according to an amount of displacement of the whole spring mechanism.

The pressing roller (87) is supported to be rotatable around a rotation axis (A2) and movable in a left-right direction, and configured to press the driver (3) toward the flywheel (40) by a biasing force of the spring mechanism in a nail-driving process in which the driver (3) moves from an initial position to a nail-driving position, to thereby enable transmission of the rotational energy to the driver (3). The pressing mechanism is configured such that the position of the pressing roller (87) relative to the driver (3) changes in the left-right direction between the nail-driving process and a return process, thereby making it impossible for the pressing roller (87) to press the driver (3) in the return process.

Abstract: A driving tool has a nose portion in which a driving channel is formed. A contact arm is movably provided at an end of the nose portion. The contact arm moves between an OFF position and an ON position. A driver strikes a driven member set in the driving channel. A shutter moves between a blocked position located on a travel path of the driver, and an open position retracted from the travel path to allow the driver to move. A connecting rod connects the contact arm and the nose portion. The connecting rod allows the shutter to move from the open position to the blocked position in response to a movement of the contact arm from the ON position to the OFF position.

The controller loads the driving member via the feeder.

Abstract: A gas-spring type driving tool with a charge valve, a relief valve, and an opening valve provided in an accumulation chamber.
