Abstract: A cutting device main body with a saw blade in a tabletop cutting device, supported so as to be swingable in an up-to-down direction with respect to a table on which material to be cut is placed, aims to improve operability for attaching and detaching the battery. A sliding direction for attaching and detaching the battery is set to be a tilting direction angled with respect to an up-to-down moving direction of the cutting device main body in a surface direction of a cutting blade. Because of this configuration, all of an operation force for attaching and detaching the battery is not applied to the up-to-down moving direction of the cutting device main body. As a result, the cutting main body is not moved in an easy manner and operability for attaching and detaching the battery is improved.

Abstract: A sliding cutting machine (1) includes: at least one slide bar (51) having an elongated shape; a slide base (17) slidably mounted on the at least one slide bar (51); and a cutting-machine main body (10) mounted on the slide base (17) such that it is movable in an up-down direction relative to the slide base (17). The cutting-machine main body (10) includes: an output shaft (27) that extends in an axial direction orthogonal to an extension direction of the at least one slide bar (51) and on which a cutting tool (11) is mounted; and an electric motor (21) disposed between the cutting tool (11) and the at least one slide bar (51), as viewed along the extension direction of the at least one slide bar (51), while the output shaft (27) is rotating and the cutting tool (11) is vertical.

A portable band saw includes a first saw wheel, a second saw wheel, a band saw blade placed on the first and second saw wheels, a motor that drives the first saw wheel and has a rotation axis in a front-rear direction, a controller that controls the motor, and a housing including a first housing accommodating the first saw wheel, a second housing accommodating the second saw wheel, and a bridge housing accommodating the motor between the first and second housings. The band saw blade is at least partly in an opening below the bridge housing. The controller is in the bridge housing with its maximum surface facing upward.

Abstract: A sliding cutting machine (1) includes: slide bars (51); a slide base (52), which slides along the slide bars; and a cutting-machine main body (10), which is swingable in an up-down direction about an up-down swing (pivot) shaft (10a) provided on the slide base. The cutting-machine main body includes: an output shaft (37) extending in an axial direction orthogonal to the slide bars and mounting a cutting tool (11); an electric motor (23) between the cutting tool and the slide bars when the cutting tool is vertical, and located more upward than the slide bars; and a motive-power transmitting part (30) transmitting the driving force of the electric motor to the output shaft. The motive-power transmitting part is between the cutting tool and the slide bars and upward of the slide bars when the cutting-machine main body is at a top dead center.

Abstract: A compound miter saw (1; 70; 90) includes a turntable-fixing mechanism (40) and a tilt-fixing mechanism (60; 80; 100) configured to respectively fix the miter angle and tilt (bevel) angle of a cutting-machine main body (10). The turntable-fixing mechanism includes a fixing rod (42) configured to lock rotation of a turntable (4; 91) relative to a base (2) by manually rotating a grip (41) attached thereto, and is disposed forward of a front surface of a table-extension part (5; 71; 92), downward of an upper surface of the turntable, and at the center of the table-extension part in the left-right direction. The tilt-fixing mechanism includes a manually rotatable tilt-fixing manipulatable part (61; 81; 101) provided between the front surface of the table-extension part and the grip. A rotary shaft (61a; 82a; 102a) of the tilt-fixing manipulatable part is coaxial with the fixing rod (rotary shaft) attached to the grip.
