Abstract:
A digital clock is provided which includes a main shaft rotatably supporting a plurality of time indicating drums which have inner teeth on one side and driving teeth on the other side of their inner periphery. The clock also includes pinion locking means arranged within the time indicating drums on the same side as said driving teeth. A plurality of intermediate pinions are arranged within the drums to engage the pinion locking means and driving teeth on one side and with the inner teeth on the other side so that said drums are driven. One or two of the pinions consist of two parts which are slippable relative to each other by application of a predetermined torque therebetween for the purpose of time adjustment or day of week indication adjustment. A time mechanism installed in the clock includes a cam drum which is within a time setting drum.
Abstract:
An ignition system for petroleum burning instruments is provided which comprises an ignition nozzle for injecting an ignitable fuel towards a subject being ignited, an air compression pump for supplying compressed air to the nozzle to operate the nozzle, and a pair of discharge electrodes arranged in front of the nozzle in opposite relation to each other. The pair of electrodes form an airgap thereacross through which a jet flow of the ignitable fuel passes, and are connected across a piezoelectric transducer for inducing a spark, by discharge, across the airgap to thereby ignite the ignitable fuel in response to the actuation of the transducer. The transducer is mechanically impacted by separate means in response to a predetermined operative position of the pump.

A liquefied gas-fueled smoking lighter utilizing piezoelectric elements as the voltage generation source comprising a casing, a support frame structure disposed within and secured to said casing, a high voltage generation unit comprising piezoelectric elements received in said frame structure and pinched at their opposite ends by a pressure transfer plate and a washer, an eccentric cam disposed on said pressure transfer plate for applying a pressure to said piezoelectric elements, a valve manipulation lever fixedly mounted on the shaft of said cam and having said cam shaft as the axis of rocking movement, and a valve opening and closing member disposed adjacent to said lever with at least a portion of said member positioned in the path of rocking movement of said lever.

A combined refill and burner valve assembly comprises a main outer cylindrical body including a discharge nozzle cylinder in the upper portion thereof, an adjusting member of porous material under said discharge nozzle cylinder, a regulating tubular means being in rotatably threaded connection with the inner side of said main outer cylindrical body and being in resilient contact with said adjusting member in the tip portion thereof, said regulating tubular means having a valve member adapted to serve as a filling valve in its lower portion near to an opening accommodated to receive a connecting tube of a fuel charging container.
