    Abstract: An apparatus and method for utilizing a portable point-of-sale device for onboarding a merchant with an interchange network is provided. The method includes the operation of coupling the portable point-of-sale device to an external display device. The method also includes the operation of downloading a merchant companion application to a merchant client device. The merchant companion application is configured to communicate directly with the portable point-of-sale device. Furthermore, the method includes the operation of configuring a network connection between the portable point-of-sale device and the interchange network utilizing the merchant companion application. Moreover, the method includes the operation of providing merchant onboarding information to the interchange network via the portable point-of-sale device utilizing the merchant companion application.

    Abstract: Methods and a computer system for dynamically generating an embedded payment interface are described herein. The method includes obtaining rules that define a desired configuration of the embedded payment interface. The method also includes storing rules, storing a default interface template having a default configuration, and receiving an access message indicating that the webpage is accessed at a remote computing device, the access message including a plurality of data elements associated with the webpage and the access of the webpage by the remote computing device. The method also includes accessing the default interface template, generating customization commands that define an output configuration of the embedded payment interface by applying the rules to data elements, applying the customization commands to the default interface template to produce a payment interface having the output configuration corresponding to the desired configuration, and embedding the payment interface in the accessed webpage.

    Abstract: A simulation and optimization (SO) computing device is configured to receive a request for an intelligent budget, and retrieve historical data for purchase transactions initiated over a period of time. The SO computing device is also configured to assign each purchase transaction one budget class, generate a historical budget model based upon the purchase transactions and budget classes, the historical budget model representing historical spending behavior over the period of time, and execute future budget simulations based upon the historical budget model, each future budget simulation identifying a possible future spending behavior of the user. The SO computing device is further configured to generate intelligent budgets based upon the future budget simulations, wherein each intelligent budget is generated based upon a respective possible future spending behavior that satisfies at least one user-defined budget constraint, cause the intelligent budgets to be displayed, and receive a selection of a user-selected intelligent budget.
