Abstract: A toy top having a housing with a gyroscopic-type rotor mounted on a freely rotatable shaft that extends below the housing and terminates at a spinning tip which supports the top in spinning engagement with a playing surface, the top including impeller structure rotating with the rotor within the housing, and the latter including intake and exhaust apertures for allowing the impeller to draw air into the housing and expel the air in a flow interrupted at an audible frequency.

Abstract: A roadway for toy vehicles which provides a tall, winding, mountain-like road with two parallel tracks, which can be stored in a box of limited height, comprising a rigid lower member forming lower portions of the tracks and a flexible upper member forming upper portions of the tracks. The upper member can be placed in a substantially flat configuration for storage, or can be placed in a largely helical configuration and supported on top of the lower member to form the upper portion of the roadway. A starting gate at the upper end of the roadway can be used to start a pair of vehicles, or can be swung out of the way to allow moving vehicles received from previous track regions to move into the mountain-like roadway without hindrance.

Abstract: Toy construction elements including a cone-shaped element and block-shaped element that can be readily joined into interesting shapes. Both the narrow and wide ends of the cone-shaped element have projections, and have recesses for receiving projections, the recesses at the wide end being formed by a pair of concentric flanges. The block-shaped element is formed from a substantially flat member divided by living hinges into six face portions that can be folded into a block. Each free edge of a face portion has an inwardly-extending rib and a stepped recess so that when the pair of ribs of adjacent edges are received in corresponding recesses the face elements are locked together.
