    Abstract: Disclosed is an exhaust gas recirculation system provided in an engine to recirculate, to an intake manifold, a part of exhaust gas discharged from an engine body, as EGR gas. The exhaust gas recirculation system comprises: an in-head gas passage formed in a cylinder head to allow the EGR gas to pass through a position adjacent to a first coolant jacket formed in the cylinder head to allow coolant to flow therethrough an EGR cooler configured to cool the EGR gas after passing through the cylinder head via the in-head gas passage and before being introduced into the intake manifold; and a relay pipe configured to guide the EGR gas just after passing through the cylinder head, to the EGR cooler. The relay pipe is provided with a second coolant jacket for allowing coolant to flow therethrough so as to cool the EGR gas being flowing inside the relay pipe.

    Abstract: A turbocharger engine includes an engine body and a turbocharger. The turbocharger includes a large turbo unit having a large turbine chamber, a large compressor chamber, and a large turbine shaft extending between the two chambers; and a small turbo unit having a small turbine chamber, a small compressor chamber, and a small turbine shaft extending between the two chambers. The large compressor chamber is disposed upstream of the small compressor chamber in an intake passage. A large turbo axis and a small turbo axis are disposed to extend generally in the same direction as an engine output axis. The large turbo unit is disposed such that the large turbo axis is non parallel to the engine output axis, and a large-compressor-chamber-side portion of the large turbo axis is closer to the engine output axis than a large-turbine-chamber-side portion thereof in a plan view in an axis direction of the cylinder.

    Abstract: Present application discloses fuel supply device which includes: fuel injection valves respectively arranged on center axes of cylinders, fuel injection valves being configured to inject fuel into the cylinders; fuel distribution portion configured to distribute fuel to fuel injection valves; and fuel supply tubes configured to form supply paths for fuel from fuel distribution portion to fuel injection valves. Fuel distribution portion includes connection portions arranged in arrangement direction so as to be connected to fuel supply tubes. Connection portions include pair of reference connection portions situated at positions distant from each other in arrangement direction by distance between respective bore center axes of cylinders. Fuel supply tubes include pair of fuel supply tubes respectively connected to pair of reference connection portions and two fuel injection valves on two cylinders arranged adjacently to each other. Pair of fuel supply tubes have a common shape.

    Abstract: An engine equipped with a turbo supercharger has an exhaust manifold coupled to an engine body, a turbo supercharger including a turbine housing demarcating a turbine chamber and a supply path of exhaust air, and a turbine insulator covering the same, and a manifold insulator covering at least the upper surface of the exhaust manifold and the side surface of the exhaust manifold on the turbo supercharger side. The exhaust manifold has a flange as a connection section with respect to the turbo supercharger. The manifold insulator has a cut-away section exposing a joining surface of the flange, and an opening caused by having the interval between the cut-away edge of the cut-away section and the outer peripheral edge of the flange be relatively wider in a predetermined position than in other positions.
