摘要: A modular sensor and display module comprises an enclosure with a rigid frame and front and back visor lens encapsulating sensors, waveguide optics, and display/projection devices that provide various functions for a typical head-mounted device. A front visor may conceal sensors and other components and may further provide dimming for holographic displays. The modular sensor and display module may include a standard interface for attachment to various fit systems, including, for example, headband, VR headset, glasses temples, helmet, and the like. A further module, such as a rear-attachment module, may be provided that can provide auxiliary compute, storage, and power resources for the modular sensor and display module.

摘要: A headband is disclosed for supporting a head-worn device with a comfortable and non-intrusive fit. In examples, the headband includes first and second loops supporting the headband on a wearer's head, and an adjustment mechanism for tightening the first and second loops. The adjustment mechanism tightens down the loops to a desired fit, at which point further actuation of the adjustment mechanism has no effect on the loops.

摘要: An augmented reality device includes a frame assembly including a nose piece and a pair of temple pads configured to accommodate a plurality of fit points of a user. A set of mountings on the frame assembly is configured to mount to the frame assembly any of a plurality of different see-through display modules having different exit pupil distances. A see-through display module is coupled to the frame assembly via the set of mountings. The see-through display module is selected from among the plurality of different see-through display modules to match an exit pupil distance of the see-through display module to an inter-pupillary distance of the user.

摘要: A head-mounted display device may display a holographic element with a portable control device. Image data of a physical environment including the control device may be received and used to generate a three dimensional model of at least a portion of the environment. Using position information of the control device, a holographic element is displayed with the control device. Using the position information, it is determined that the control device is within a predetermined proximity of either a holographic object or a physical object. Based on determining that the control device is within the predetermined proximity, the displayed holographic element is modified.

摘要: A head-worn assembly is disclosed including a head-worn device supported on a headband. The headband may include a first loop positioned around the head, and possibly a second loop affixed to the first loop and positioned over the head. Weight distribution and comfort of the head-worn assembly may be optimized by mounting the head-worn device at an approximate center (front to back) of the headband, and further balancing the weight of the head-worn device (front to back) over the mounting point. The weight distribution and comfort of the head-worn assembly may be further optimized by providing several user-customizable adjustments to the head-worn assembly.
