    Abstract: Battery pack powered roll groover described herein includes a housing, an inner roller provided on the housing and configured to be received in an inner circumference of a workpiece, a groove roll provided on the housing and configured to produce a groove on the workpiece, one or more motors provided within the housing and configured to drive the groove roll, and an electronic processor electrically connected to the one or more motors. The electronic processor is configured to operate the one or more motors to perform a first operation of moving the groove roll in a radial direction, and operate the one or more motors to perform a second operation of moving the groove roll around a track in a circumferential direction. The first operation is performed to adjust a groove depth on the workpiece. The second operation is performed to produce the groove on the workpiece.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for evaluating a crimping application. A power tool includes a pair of jaws configured to crimp a workpiece, a piston cylinder configured to actuate at least one of the pair of jaws, and a pressure sensor configured to provide pressure signals associated with a crimping application. The power tool also includes an electronic processor connected to the pressure sensor. The electronic processor is configured to monitor, while performing the crimping application, a pressure applied by the piston cylinder, construct a pressure curve indicative of a change in the pressure applied during the crimping application, process the pressure curve into a vector indicative of one or more features, evaluate the crimping application based on the vector, and provide an output indicative of the evaluation.

    Abstract: A pipe threader includes a housing, an electric motor, a battery, a die holder, and a die locking mechanism. The die locking mechanism receives torque from the electric motor and rotates as a result. A cutting die is received in the die holder and the locking mechanism rotationally locks the cutting die in the die holder. The locking mechanism includes a first lock ring and a second lock ring. The pipe threader includes a drive assembly including an electric motor, a multi-stage planetary transmission that receives torque from the motor, and a worm drive that receives torque from the transmission. The pipe threader includes an inertial measurement unit and an electronic processer. The processor receives data from the inertial measurement unit, generates a relative position of the pipe threader by applying a Kalman filter, determining whether the relative position exceeds a threshold, and decreases the motor speed in response.
