Abstract:
A device includes a case comprising a case sidewall defining a circular receiver having a receiving opening and a central axis. An inner wall of the case defines one or more engagement members. A device body includes a sidewall defining a receiving aperture. The device body inserts into the circular receiver along the central axis at a first rotational alignment. A bezel is coupled to the device body, and couples to the case at the receiving opening. The bezel includes an annular engagement ring defining one or more complementary engagement features to engage the one or more engagement members. A crown stem serves as an axial retention device to retain the device body in the second rotational alignment.
Abstract:
A wearable electronic device includes an anterior pendant and a posterior pendant. A first neck strap couples a first side of the anterior pendant to the posterior pendant, while a second neck strap couples a second side of the anterior pendant to the posterior pendant. The posterior pendant includes a first single channel posterior audio output delivering a left channel audio signal through a first port and a second single channel posterior audio output delivering a right channel audio signal from a second port. The anterior pendant has a single channel anterior audio output delivering a combined left channel audio signal and right channel audio signal to pull the stereo image defined by the combined acoustic signals toward the anterior pendant.
Abstract:
A device includes a case having a case sidewall defining a circular receiver having a receiving opening and a central axis. A device body, which is waterproof in one or more applications, includes a sidewall defining a receiving aperture. A crown stem includes a push button disposed within a duct of a threaded bushing and one or more O-rings disposed about the actuation stem to allow translation of the actuation stem in the duct while preventing liquids from passing through the duct. The crown stem inserts through the aperture in the case so that the threaded bushing can hermetically seal the receiving aperture when the device body is inserted into the circular receiver to prevent the liquids from entering the receiving aperture.
Abstract:
One example disclosed wearable device includes a first housing portion having a conductive section and a non-conductive section. The conductive section is connected to ground. A second housing portion includes a printed circuit board (PCB) with a conductor on the PCB surface positioned beneath the non-conductive section. The conductor on the PCB surface and the conductive section form a capacitor of a capacitive sensor. The wearable device may also include a first adhesive layer between a surface of the non-conductive section of the first housing portion and the PCB surface. A second adhesive layer, coplanar with the first adhesive layer, may be applied between a surface of the conductive section of the first housing portion and the PCB surface. The first adhesive layer and the second adhesive layer form a water tight seal that prevents liquids from penetrating into at least the second housing portion.
