    Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for implementing workflows across multiple differing systems and devices are provided herein. During operation a workflow is automatically generated upon the detection of new device capabilities. In particular, a workflow server will detect the presence of new device capabilities in a particular area. The new device capabilities will be analyzed, and an appropriate trigger and action will be determined based on the new device capabilities. The appropriate trigger and action will then be implemented as a newly-created workflow.

    Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for implementing workflows across multiple differing systems and devices is provided herein. During operation, a graphical-user interface provides a user with a list of triggers and a list of actions. A user creates a workflow by dragging a trigger and at least one action to an area of a screen (workspace) and then connecting them with a line or arc. If a security ecosystem is unable to execute the created workflow, the necessary components needed to execute the workflow will be provided in a small area on the screen (workspace).

    Abstract: At least one detected natural language phrase in audio describes at least one expected future object activity in a definable physical or geographic region. For each of one or more potential video analytic rules that are derivable from the at least one natural language phrase, whether compatibility with corresponding workflow requirements of an entity exists may be determined, such that one, some or all of the one or more potential video analytic rules are confirmed as one or more workflow-compatible video analytic rules. The one or more workflow-compatible video analytic rules are implemented within a video security system for respective one or more periods of time. For each of the implemented video analytic rules, a notification may be generated: when a rule violation of the respective video analytic rule triggers an event; or following expiry of the respective period of time of the one or more periods of time.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for overriding ad hoc talkgroup auto-dropping. One example method includes determining whether a contextual condition for a portable communications device meets a talkgroup formation criterion associated with an ad hoc talkgroup, and, in response to determining that the contextual condition meets the talkgroup formation criterion, sending a talkgroup identifier identifying the ad hoc talkgroup to the device. The method includes receiving a contextual condition update for the device and determining whether the update meets the talkgroup formation criterion. The method includes, in response to determining that the update does not meet the talkgroup formation criterion, sending an audio mute command based on the talkgroup identifier and a notification requesting an override action to the device. The method includes, when an override action indication is received from the device during a standby period, sending an audio unmute command based on the talkgroup identifier to the device.
