摘要： A button with a plastic shank is removably secured to a fastener bar that is sewed or riveted to a garment. The shank of the button has a transverse slit in it of the same thickness as the thickness of the fastener bar; and this slit terminates in a hole just below the head of the button which is of the same diameter as the width of the fastener bar. The button can be mounted on the fastener bar by slipping the slit in its shank over the fastener bar and then turning the button so that the bar enters and engages in the hole in the shank. To remove the button from the bar it is first turned to have the fastener bar aligned with the slit in the button shank, and then the shank is slid off the fastener bar.

摘要： A system for converting an input analog signal, such as an audio signal or signal representative of sound into a digital form for storing in digital form and for reconstructing the input analog signal from the digital form is disclosed. The system includes sampling means for converting the input audio signal into a binary format which includes ranging bits and adjusted magnitude bits. This permits the recording in digital form of audio signals of a wide dynamic range with a reduced number of bits. Additionally, the disclosed encoding method for encoding digital words prior to recording reduces pulse crowding on magnetic tape and achieves higher bit packing densities. The system may be used with existing professional audio tape drives with tape speeds of approximately 30 ips or less.

摘要： A container comprising a transparent cup-shaped member forming a base and an outer upright tubular sidewall, and an inner tubular sidewall telescoped within the outer sidewall, the sidewalls being spaced apart to define an annular space for encasing a decorative fabric which forms ornamentation for the container. A split ring forms a mounting sleeve for supporting the fabric in the annular space, and a flange overlies the upper ends of the sidewalls to close the annular space. In one embodiment, the flange is secured to the inner sidewall, and in another embodiment, the flange is part of a removable cap.
