摘要： A broadcast receiving terminal, which implements a service executing method, includes a receiver operable to receive an application, a recording medium, and a service executer operable to execute a service that uses one or more resources in a service execution environment intended for the service. The terminal also includes an associater operable to associate the service execution environment with resource set information indicating the one or more resources used by the service, when the application requests the service executer to execute the service, and a storager operable to store, into the recording medium, a plurality of service execution environments together with the associated resource set information that are associated by the associater. The terminal further includes a resource manager operable to provide, to a selected service, one or more resources indicated in the resource set information in the associated service execution environment, in the recording medium, stored by the storager.

摘要： Achieved is a motion picture reproducing apparatus at low price (being little increased in price even though the number of specifications are increased) capable of receiving motion picture streams complying with various specifications such as those containing programs that operate on different pieces of middleware, and reproducing motion pictures. A middleware storage unit 43 stores a plurality of different pieces of middleware. Based on program identification information contained in a motion picture stream received by the motion picture reproducing apparatus, an applicable middleware selecting unit 40 selects middleware applicable to a program contained in the motion picture stream. A middleware reading unit 41 reads the selected applicable middleware from the middleware storage unit 43. A middleware executing unit 42 executes the read middleware.

摘要： There is provided a Java™ conditional access apparatus which, by describing a CA control unit through a Java™ program, obviates the need for porting a CA control program, enables development of a CA system over plural terminals in a short time, and obviates the need for terminal replacement. The Java™ conditional access apparatus includes a descramble circuit, a key generation information obtaining library, a Java™ VM, a storage unit, a condition-release control unit, an API having a registration unit. Upon receiving a function from a CA control program, the registration unit registers the received function. When the API receives information of a channel, the information of the channel to be reproduced is notified to the CA control program. The CA control program requests the key generation information obtaining library to obtain key generation information corresponding to the received channel information, and passes the received key generation information to the condition-release control unit.
