摘要： There is disclosed a projector which supplies air cooled by a cooling unit to an optical element group, whereby the occurrence of dew condensation is prevented. The projector includes a cooling apparatus 11 disposed in a main body 1 and functioning as the cooling unit; a sealed or substantially sealed duct 30 through which cold air cooled by a cooler 18 of the cooling apparatus 11 is circulated and supplied to an optical element group 5 to cool the optical element group; an outside air introduction port 32 and an air discharge port 33 which function as a ventilation unit for introducing outside air into this duct 30 to discharge the air from the duct 30, dampers 34 and 35 for opening and closing these ports; and a controller C functioning as a control unit for controlling the dampers 34 and 35 to execute a ventilating operation in the duct 30.

摘要： An illumination apparatus includes a red light valve, a green light valve, a blue light valve, a polarization adjustment element, and a color combiner. The polarization adjustment element adjusts polarization of fourth color component light. The color combiner combines light emitted from the red light valve, the green light valve and the blue light valve. Superimposed component light which is any one of a red component light, a green component light and a blue component light enters the polarization adjustment element together with a fourth color component light. The polarization adjustment element transmits the superimposed component light without adjusting the polarization, and transmits the fourth color component light with adjusting the polarization. The superimposed component light and the fourth color component light emitted from the polarization adjustment element enter a specific light valve corresponding to the superimposed component light, among the red light valve, the green light valve and the blue light valve.

摘要： A projection display apparatus includes: a red imager; a green imager; a blue imager; a polarization adjusting element; a color combining unit; and a controller. A superimposed component light enters the polarization adjusting element together with the fourth color component light. The polarization adjusting element transmits the superimposed component light, whereas transmitting the fourth color component light by adjusting the polarization of the fourth color component light in accordance with switching between a low voltage applied state and a high voltage applied state. The controller controls re-orienting operation of applying a high voltage to the polarization adjusting element.

摘要： A dielectric ceramic composition includes a compound having perovskite type crystal structure shown by a general formula ABO3, where A is at least one selected from Ba, Ca and Sr, and B is at least one selected from Ti and Zr, as a main component. The dielectric ceramic composition includes, as subcomponents, with respect to 100 moles of the compound, 1.0 to 2.5 moles of an oxide of RA (Dy, Gd and Tb); 0.2 to 1.0 mole of an oxide of RB (Ho and Y); 0.1 to 1.0 mole of an oxide of RC (Yb and Lu); 0.8 to 2.0 moles of Mg oxide and 1.2 to 3.0 moles of an oxide including Si in terms of RA2O3, RB2O3, RC2O3, Mg and Si, respectively. Also, when contents of the oxide of RA, RB and RC with respect to 100 moles of the compound are defined as “α”, “β” and “γ”, respectively, the “α”, “β” and “γ” satisfy relations of 2.5≦(α/β)≦5.0 and 1.0≦(β/γ)≦10.0. According to the present invention, a dielectric ceramic composition having good properties can be provided.
