    摘要: An image display device, a scan line drive circuit and a driver circuit for the display device capable of driving the display device having a multiplex pixel structure by simple control and utilizing a simplified gate driver. The image display device includes a plurality of pixel electrodes, a plurality of scan lines G for supplying scan signals to turn on and off these pixel electrodes, a pulse generator for generating a shift pulse, buffers B provided corresponding to the respective scan lines G, and a shift register unit in which first and second shift registers SR1 and SR2 are alternately cascade-connected. The shift pulse is propagated through the first and the second shift registers SR1 and SR2 by outputting the shift pulse from the pulse generator to the shift register unit. In this way, the shift pulse is controlled to be propagated between a buffer B to an adjacent buffer B in one horizontal scanning cycle.

An output potential waveform outputted from a switching unit 16 of a gate driver IC 7 to a scanning line G is set to have a first waveform having a potential for turning on a switching elements set as its amplitude, and a second waveform connected to the first waveform and oscillated within a period shorter than the second waveform with amplitude smaller than that of the first waveform. Thus, a falling waveform of a scanning signal to be supplied to the switching elements through the scanning line G is inclined beforehand, nonuniformity of the inclination of the falling waveform of the scanning signal supplied to each of the switching elements is reduced, and the occurrence of uneven luminance or flicker in the screen is suppressed.

    摘要: Disclosed is an image display device to secure uniformity of a screen without luminance unevenness by reducing the number of signal lines and enhancing accuracy in voltages to be applied to respective pixels. Display signals are serially stored into the storage device for a significant part of a line of the image display apparatus. After the display signals are stored for the part of the line into the storage device, the display signals are outputted while additional display signals for another part of the line are concurrently stored into the storage device. The outputting step is performed at a faster rate than the concurrent storing step. Consequently, the size of the storage device can be limited.
