摘要： A system for dividing a workspace includes first and second vertically extending walls having a respective upper and lower edge and respective side edges. The first and second walls are arranged in parallel to partially enclose an area. A ceiling is included that extends between the first and second walls to join the upper edges of the first and second walls and at least partially cover the partially enclosed area. The resulting arch-shaped divider system may include any of a plurality of features. For example, the systems may include integrated work surfaces, informational areas, or may include viewing passages and may be arranged in a variety of configurations designed to facilitate collaborative work.

The wall includes a variety of features such as a slit extending horizontally across at least a portion of the wall at a level designed to provide individuals seated within the interior workspace with a constant view of the area outside of the workspace at both an immediate periphery of the wall as well as areas at a distance from the wall. Furthermore, the slit includes dimensions configured to provide individuals located in the area outside of the workspace with a view into the interior workspace when at a distance from the wall and restrict individuals located in the area outside of the workspace from views into the interior workspace when in close proximity to the wall. Also, the wall may include other feature such as a visual shield extending thereabove and a lining formed by a composite construction element.

摘要： An elongate table for offices and the like includes first and second leg members which are configured to be abuttingly supported on a floor surface in a generally upright, spaced orientation. At least one cross member extends between and is operably connected with the leg members to rigidly retain the leg members in the upright orientation. The leg members and cross member define a top supporting frame with a central axis extending longitudinally therealong. First and second elongate top members are supported on the frame on opposite sides of the central axis, and have opposing interior edges which are spaced apart to define a slot therebetween. An elongate accessory support beam is positioned in a generally vertical orientation in the slot, and includes a generally T-shaped slot extending longitudinally therealong for supporting accessories thereon.

The wall includes a variety of features and may be at least partially formed from a construction element including a sheet of metal configured to be self supporting and a layer of cushioning material configured to encase the sheet of metal to form a composite construction element that is free of sharp edges. The composite construction element is configured to be mounted to a wall having a top, bottom, and two sides configured to divide an area into a workspace and an area outside of the workspace. Furthermore, the wall may be formed a meltable material that can be melted and smoothed to at least reduce an appearance of unsmooth portions within the wall and, when positioned proximate to another wall, can be melted and smoothed to at least reduce the appearance of seams between the wall and the another wall.

摘要： A table for offices and the like includes an elongate center beam and two center posts having lower ends abuttingly supported on a floor surface and upper ends connected with opposite ends of the center beam. Two outrigger beams are positioned on opposite sides of the center beam in a generally mutually perpendicular relationship therewith, and have inner ends connected with one of the center posts. Two outrigger posts are positioned on opposite sides of the center beam, and have lower ends thereof abutting the floor surface and upper ends connected with the outside ends of the outrigger beams to stabilize the table. Two elongate worksurfaces are positioned along opposite sides of the center beam and have a length generally commensurate with the same. The worksurfaces have inside edges connected with and at least partially supported by the center beam, end segments abutting and at least partially supported by the upper ends of the outrigger posts, and outside edges which protrude outwardly from the outrigger posts in a cantilevered fashion and extend freely therealong to permit unencumbered access to the worksurfaces.
