    摘要: A seal assembly can be incorporated into a track pin joint assembly including a pin defining a longitudinal axis, a first member and a second member both coaxial with the pin about the longitudinal axis. The first member is pivotable about the longitudinal axis with respect to the second member and includes a load ring engagement surface defining, at least in part, an axially-extending seal cavity disposed in proximal relationship to the second member. A seal assembly including a seal ring and a load ring is disposed in the seal cavity and sealingly engages the first member and the second member. At least one of a load ring engagement surface of the first member and an axial segment of a first member engagement surface of the load ring includes a convex rounded portion extending over at least half the axial length thereof.

At leaset one of the exterior surface and the end face includes a sealing surface formed at least in part of a coating including a material having a hardness level greater than about 1200 Knoop. The sealing surface has a thickness greater than about 35 microns and an average roughness (Ra) less than about 0.25 micron. In one embodiment, the bushing may be used on an endless track for a track-type work machine.

    摘要: A cartridge bearing assembly for a track chain of a track type work machine is provided. The cartridge bearing assembly includes axial/radial load bearing insert members positioned about a pin, and a rotatable bushing positioned therebetween. Crowned sleeve bearings are disposed between the insert members and the pin, as well as between the pin and the rotatable bushing. Collars are disposed at opposite ends of the pin and fixedly coupled thereto, trapping the other components of the cartridge assembly therebetween. A method of operating a track type work machine is further provided, including reducing wear between coupled track links by reacting axial loads via insert members positioned about a track pin.

    摘要: A method of forming a composite overlay compound on a substrate includes forming a mixture including at least one component from a first group of component materials including titanium, chrome, tungsten, vanadium, niobium, and molybdenum. The mixture also includes at least one component from a second group of component materials including carbon and boron, and the mixture further includes at least one component from a third group of component materials including silicon, nickel, and manganese. The mixture of selected component materials is then applied to a substrate material to form an overlay compound on the substrate material. The overlay compound is fused to the substrate to form a metallurgical bond between the substrate material and the overlay compound.
