摘要： A distal femoral osteotomy system and method according to which an end segment is cut from the bone to be realigned and a wedge-shaped segment is cut from between the end segment and the remaining portion of the bone. The wedge-shaped segment is cut so that it has an angled surface substantially corresponding to the angle of malalignment. The wedge-shaped segment is discarded and the severed end segment is repositioned relative to the remaining portion of the bone at an angle corresponding to the angle of malalignment to realign the end segment and the remaining bone portion and correct for the malalignment. A compressive load is then established across the remaining bone portion and the end segment.

摘要： An apparatus and method for removing water hyacinths. The system of the present invention utilizes a transfer mechanism and grapple to collect hyacinth material from a body of water. The collected material is then passed to a transport for delivery to a header unit and grapple. The header unit grapple then retrieves the hyacinth material and delivers it to a collection bin for processing. The chopped hyacinth material is thereafter discharged for subsequent use as a biomass.

摘要： An implement for attachment onto a harvesting vehicle, particularly adapted for harvesting stalk-type crops independent of the direction of and distance between the rows of crops to be harvested, includes a frame, a plurality of directing fingers fixedly attached to the frame and extending generally forwardly therefrom and a generally transverse cutter bar mounted horizontally along a front portion of the frame. A pair of triangular shaped members are mounted on the frame behind the cutting bar and have guide chains slidingly mounted thereon. The guide chains surround each member and are adapted to revolve therearound. A plurality of gathering lugs are fixedly attached to each guide chain and extend outwardly from each member. Crops are directed to the cutter bar and gathering lugs by the directing fingers and are transferred onto the harvesting vehicle by the gathering lugs as the guide chains revolve about each triangular member.
