摘要: A method of writing to ferroelectric storage medium includes the steps of applying a first write voltage to a ferroelectric layer for writing a first bit in a first polarization direction and applying a second write voltage to the ferroelectric layer for writing a second bit in a second polarization direction opposing the first polarization direction. The first write voltage having a first magnitude, and the second write voltage having a second magnitude being greater than the first magnitude. The ferroelectric layer having a ferroelectric imprint polarization direction, and the first polarization direction being substantially the same as the ferroelectric imprint polarization direction. The ferroelectric medium contains first bits with a first surface area that is substantially equal to second bits surface area. A probe storage apparatus can use this method and ferroelectric medium.

摘要: A re-useable smoke-producing device for use in burning pre-soaked wood chips on an outdoor propane or charcoal grill, with the device being made of a stainless steel cylinder with holes punched in a pattern on the body of the cylinder and the base of the cylinder, with the holes of a size and pattern that allow for optimal smoke production. The device stands upright on a grill surface, is open on the top end, and allows for the grill cover to be closed over the device. The device has a handle for safe and convenient removal of the device from the grill.

摘要: A heatable hose (1), in particular a respiration hose, having a flexible hose wall (4), shall guarantee through its design that a contact of the electric conductors or heating wires (14, 16) accommodated in the hose (1) and, thus, a short circuit, is excluded. For this purpose, the hose (1) is equipped with a plurality of reinforcing ribs (8, 12, 20, 22), each of which winds around the hose wall (4) in the manner of a helical line and which form together a multiple-threaded helical line, at least two reinforcing ribs (8, 12) being provided, each of which encloses a heating wire (14, 16) designed for heating the hose. Each heating wire (14, 16) is preferably a single-conductor wire.
