摘要： A method of encrypting data, a telecommunications terminal and an access authorization card are described, which permit utilization of services of one or more service providers independently of a network operator or manufacturer of the telecommunications terminal. Encrypted data is transmitted between a service provider and the telecommunications terminal over a telecommunications network. Data to be transmitted over the telecommunications network is encrypted as a function of the service provider selected.

摘要： A slave station and a method of regulating the transmission power of a master station are described, which permit an estimate of the signal/interference ratio in a transmission system without sending a pilot sequence, the transmission power being regulated as a function of an estimate of the signal/interference ratio. In a transmission system, in particular a CDMA transmission system, useful signals assigned to different communicating subscribers are separated by orthogonal codes. A useful signal assigned to one communicating subscriber is derived by using one of the codes from a signal received at least in the slave station from the master station and is compared as a reference signal with the received signal to estimate the signal/interference ratio.

摘要： A detection method in which a CDMA-coded data signal is transmitted in the form of a data stream of spread data bursts between a transmitter and a receiver, hierarchical CDMA codes being used for the transmission. In a first step, codes having a smaller spreading factor than a maximally to be detected spreading factor are detected. In a second step, codes having a larger spreading factor than in the previous step are detected, the detection results of the first step being taken into account. In a third step, the detection process is broken off if all codes are detected, or otherwise the second step is repeated with the detection results last obtained in each instance, until all codes are detected.

摘要： A method of assigning transmission channels in a telecommunications network and a user station are provided, which facilitate an increase in the capacity of a telecommunications network. The telecommunications network may include multiple base stations and mobile stations, the transmission channels being provided for transmitting signals between the base stations and the mobile stations. In uncoordinated operation of the base stations, at least one of the transmission channels is assigned for transmitting signals between one of the base stations and one of the mobile stations as a function of a channel measurement, in which the transmission power on all possible transmission channels is measured, if the previously measured transmission power on this transmission channel is minimal.
