    摘要: A client-server network environment is temporarily transformed into a grid computing environment through the deployment of a network-booted grid operating system to each of a plurality of network clients. Each participating client operates in the client-server mode under a local operating system. At an appropriate time, a server transmits to each client a thin-client boot image (a dynamically built customized image or an image obtained from a store of predefined boot images) along with a grid application for which the thin-client has been optimized for peak performance. Each client re-boots using the thin-client image, thereby entering the grid mode and executing the grid application.

An embodiment of a method includes discovering one or more devices in a first network at a proxy device, generating by the proxy device virtual devices representing the one or more devices, and advertising by the proxy device the one or more virtual devices on a second network. The method includes receiving by the proxy device a command for a first virtual device of the one or more virtual devices from a command device, the command device being outside the first network, the command being received via the second network, and the first virtual device representing a target device located in the first network. The method further includes forwarding the command to the target device via the first network.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for enhancing the infrastructure of a network such as the Internet is disclosed. A packet interceptor/processor apparatus is coupled with the network so as to be able to intercept and process packets flowing over the network. Further, the apparatus provides external connectivity to other devices that wish to intercept packets as well. The apparatus applies one or more rules to the intercepted packets which execute one or more functions on a dynamically specified portion of the packet and take one or more actions with the packets. The apparatus is capable of analyzing any portion of the packet including the header and payload. Actions include releasing the packet unmodified, deleting the packet, modifying the packet, logging/storing information about the packet or forwarding the packet to an external device for subsequent processing. Further, the rules may be dynamically modified by the external devices.

    摘要: Disclosed are an information transmission method, a packet data gateway, and a policy and charging rules function. The method includes: after receiving a Mobile IPv6 support for Dual Stack Hosts and Routers (DSMIPv6) binding update signaling, a packet data network gateway (P-GW) notifying a source User Datagram Protocol (UDP) port number of the DSMIPv6 binding update signaling to a Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF); and the PCRF notifying the source UDP port number of the DSMIPv6 binding update signaling to a fixed broadband access network. The above-mentioned method provides the UDP port number for the fixed broadband access network according to whether the IPSec capsulation is performed on the user plane data, which makes the fixed broadband access network be able to identify the user plane data of the user equipment correctly and perform a corresponding policy control.
