摘要： Original data is copied from a read-only recording medium to a rewritable portable recording medium. A data storage unit stores therein updated data and mapping information indicating a path of the updated data in the virtual package. A determination unit determines, from the mapping information, a match between a path on the portable recording medium of first stream data included in the original data and a path in the virtual package of second stream data included in the updated data. When the match is determined, the recording control unit instructs that the first stream data be deleted from the portable recording medium. The recording control unit further instructs that the updated data be written on the portable recording medium. The data recording unit further writes and deletes data in response to the instructions from the recording control unit.
