摘要： In order to achieve reliable welding, by reducing welding scars, of a flat conductor to another bonding member by an ultrasonic welding machine, a curved beveled portion facing a bonding member, a plurality of indented grooves running at a right angle to the direction of vibration of the horn tip and flat surfaces, which come in contact with a bonding member, are formed at either one of or both of the horn tip and the anvil, wherein the curved beveled portions, the indented grooves and the flat surfaces are formed facing opposite a low strength conductive member, and the indented grooves are formed at a width that is smaller than that of the flat surfaces provided between the individual indented grooves and curved beveled portions are formed at the edges where the indented grooves meet the flat surfaces.

摘要： In a connector for electric wires (5) and a flat cable (6) in which said electric wires (5) and said flat cable (6) which have exposed conductor portions (5A, 6A) formed at distal ends of said electric wires (5) and said flat cable (6) are held along a plate surface of an attaching plate (21). The exposed conductor portions (5A, 6A) are welded to each other. Insert molding is performed using a synthetic resin material (70) such that at least one portion of said attaching plate (21) and a welded portion between the exposed conductor portions (5A, 6A) are covered, a window portion (25) is formed in said attaching plate (21), and a plurality of bus bars (30) whose front and rear surfaces are exposed to said window portion (25) are arranged at a pitch corresponding to a conductor pitch of said flat cable (6). The exposed conductor portions (6A) of said flat cable (6) and the exposed conductor portions (5A) of said electric wires (5) are sequentially stacked on each other on one surface of each bus bar (30). Said bus bars (30) and both the exposed conductor portions (5A, 6A) are welded to each other in this state, and the insert molding is performed to the conductive-exposed portions (5A, 6A) and said bus bars (30).

摘要： A cover plate for covering exposed conductive wires of a flat cable is attached to a surface of an attaching plate for holding the flat cable, and insert molding is performed in such a manner that the cover plate is included. Therefore, direct contact of a portion of flows of synthetic resin for use in performing insert molding that flows along a surface of the attaching plate for holding the flat cable with conductive wires of the flat cable can be prevented. Moreover, if the synthetic resin introduced into another surface of the attaching plate for holding the electric wires flows in joint portions between the conductive wires, the conduction wires of the flat cable are pushed against the cover plate due to the flow of the synthetic resin so that the conductive wires of the flat cable are supported. Thus, the conductive wires of the flat cable can be protected from excess stress when the insert molding operation is performed. Thus, breakage of the conductive wires of the flat cable can be prevented.

摘要： A cable connector for connecting cable conductors (6A) of a flat cable (6) to wire conductors (41A, 42A, 43A) of a plurality of external wires (41, 42, 43), respectively comprises a T-shaped wire mounting plate (30) formed with a plurality of U-shaped grooves (31, 32, 33) and with a pair of guide bridges (34, 35). The U-shaped grooves hold the external wires on a first surface thereof in such a way that the wire conductors of the external wires are arranged being bent at a right angle and further projected from one end surface of the wire mounting plate, respectively. A pair of the guide bridges (34, 35) hold the fiat cable on a second surface thereof opposite to the first surface thereof in such a way that the cable conductors of the flat cable are arranged being projected from the same end surface of the wire mounting plate side by side with the projecting wire conductors of the external wires. After that, the wire conductors of the external wires are soldered to the cable conductors of the flat cable near the same end surface of the wire mounting plate. Further, it is preferable to mold the wire mounting plate with a resin together with the external wires and the flat cable both pressure-fit to the wire mounting plate. The flat cable connector can reduce the cable connection process without need of any jig, being strong against external force.
