摘要： A job, or the copy, is transmitted to a designated destination. A transmission job or a printing job is stored in conjunction with a corresponding execution time in the job storage unit, so that a job can be selected from the job list and the execution time for the selected job can be changed. Further, the jobs stored in the print queue are displayed as a list, and a selected job is moved from the print queue to the job storage unit. In addition, the histories of jobs that were executed are displayed as a list, so that a specific job can be selected and re-executed. When logout is instructed, management data are examined in order to determine whether there is an unprocessed job that was previously instructed by the user. If an unprocessed job is found, the user is notified. If the operator is a manager, a menu is displayed so that all the jobs in the print queue can be deleted. When jobs are deleted, the owners of the individual jobs are notified. The publication time limits for all the jobs included in the list are examined, and the jobs for which the publication time limits have not yet expired are displayed.

摘要： When termination of information processing is instructed, the entry of a password is requested and the password that is entered is identified. When the password that is input is a password for a manager, the system is shut down; when it is a password for a registered user, the client process is terminated; but when it is a password for a person other than those two, permission to end the processing is not granted. Thus, the type of end process that is performed can be controlled in accordance with the identity of a user. As for the client process, upon receiving an end instruction from a user the client internally performs a corresponding end process, instead of requesting that the process be performed by the server process.

摘要： A request for the transmission of operation data is transmitted by a remote controller to an object apparatus to be manipulated. When following the request it is found that the operation data can not be accepted, the request for the transmission of operation data is transmitted to a server. The operation data received from the object apparatus or the server are employed to update and save the operation data held by the remote controller, with an operating screen corresponding to the communication status being displayed, so that input manipulation can be performed in accordance with the procedures corresponding to the condition.

摘要： An image processing method and apparatus which divides image information into a plurality of predetermined-sized partial images, and sequentially performs designated image processing by partial image, thus enables image processing of the read image data using a small memory capacity. In the apparatus, an image reader reads image information, in accordance with a designated reading size, and stores the read image data, as partial image data, into an image memory. Then, a designated special-effect image processing is performed on the partial image data stored in the image memory. An image output unit sequentially outputs special-effect image processed partial images.

摘要： A fluid transmitting polyolefin foam having a special open-cell cellular structure as compared with the conventional polyolefin foams having all cells closed is disclosed. Such a novel fluid transmitting polyolefin foam is produced by mixing a polyolefin with a polymer other than a polyolefin, said polyolefin and/or said polymer other than a polyolefin having a blowing agent incorporated therein and/or adhered thereto and subjecting the resulting mixture to extrusion moulding. The present fluid transmitting polyolefin foam has a wide variety of uses, for example, as a synthetic leather, synthetic filter cloth, separator of storage battery, synthetic paper, package, etc.

摘要： A control box is provided for a printer to enable additional information processing, such as transmission of a job and transmission of notifications. The control box is fixed to a plate member that is sandwiched between the printer and a pedestal, so that it can be secured to the printer without drastically altering the printer itself. As another method, wheels are provided for the plate member on which is mounted the control box. The control box is normally placed beside the main body of the printer, and when it can be moved as needed, a door or a tray provided on the side of the main body can be used. An operating panel that is used to enter an instruction for the control box is fixed to one end of a flexible strut that is secured at the other end. With this arrangement, pressure applied by a user can be dispersed. Furthermore, the operating panel is inclined so that it can be pivoted, and the fixed portion of the strut is so designed that it is destroyed by the application of excessive force, and in this manner prevents the destruction of the entire panel and the upsetting of the apparatus itself. In addition, the control box and the operating panel are connected by a multi-cable that is constituted by a plurality of individually shielded associated signal lines that are also collectively shielded. The multi-cable is passed through the strut.
