摘要: The present invention is a door opener operable to open doors of various weights, heights and widths, comprising cables attached to the door and further attached to an operation unit. The operation unit incorporates a telescoping section driven to extend and compress by the function of a fluid pump. The telescoping section comprises two or more telescoping portions. The extension of at least one telescoping portion creates tension in the cables and causes the door to be moved from a closed or semi-closed position to an open or semi-open position. The compression of at least one telescoping portion reduces tension in a constant or near-constant manner so that the door is caused to move from an open or semi-open position to a closed position or semi-closed position. The pump only requires power while at least one telescoping portion is extending and therefore power is only required while the door is being moved towards an open position.

摘要: The present invention is a telescopic composite cylinder that functions as a hydraulic hoist incorporating multiple cylinders formed of composite materials. The walls of the multiple cylinders may be formed of pultruded composite material, or a combination of composite materials. The cylinders of the hydraulic hoist may incorporate a plurality of piston and sleeve assemblies that are mounted so as to invoke a telescopic relationship between the multiple cylinders. The materials that the cylinders are formed of may create walls having a smooth surface that can eliminate problems facing hoists formed of other materials, for example, such as a honing process, fluid leakage and seal wearing problems. The hoist may be run on diesel fuel drawn from the tank of a vehicle. Additionally, the present invention may be releseably attached to a surface by way of a saddle mounting system.

摘要: A telescoping hydraulic hoist with tube stages formed from a heat treated aluminum alloy from one of the series 2000, 6000 or 7000 aluminum alloys. These alloys retain good “memory” properties, and under the force of a pressure spike undergoes a momentary elastic deformation which acts as a shock absorber, expanding the tube wall to absorb the peak stresses and resist buckling. The hoist of the invention is thus much lighter than a comparably rated steel hoist, and much more resistant to corrosion.

摘要: A telescoping hydraulic hoist which improves stability and rigidity in the extended position without sacrificing the maximum extension length of the hoist and with fewer machined parts which may be dislodged or damaged in operation. The base member has a recess into which intermediate and inner tube stages recede when the hoist is in a fully collapsed position, and a stop-collar on the gland nut bearings overlaps the exposed end of the next broader tube stage, defining a limit of retraction for each intermediate tube stage, so that a tube stage when fully retracted contacts the exposed end of the next broader tube stage, thus dispensing with the need for stop rings.
