Abstract: An implantable medical device system receives a cardiac electrical signal produced by a patient's heart and comprising atrial P-waves and delivers a His bundle pacing pulse to the patient's heart via a His pacing electrode vector. The system determines a timing of a sensed atrial P-wave relative to the His bundle pacing pulse and determines a type of capture of the His bundle pacing pulse in response to the determined timing of the atrial P-wave.

Abstract: An IMD system receives a near field His bundle electrical signal produced by a patient's heart via a first sensing electrode vector and a far field cardiac electrical signal via a second sensing electrode vector different than the first sensing electrode vector. The IMD system generates His bundle pacing pulses delivered to the patient's heart via a His pacing electrode vector and determines a type of cardiac capture evoked by a His bundle pacing pulse.

Abstract: A system, such as an IMD system, includes a tissue conductance communication (TCC) transmitter configured to generate a beacon signal by generating a carrier signal and modulating a first property of the carrier signal according to a first type of modulation. The TCC transmitter is configured to generate a data signal subsequent to the beacon signal by generating the carrier signal and modulating a second property of the carrier signal different than the first property according to a second type of modulation different than the first type of modulation.

Abstract: Techniques for facilitating telemetry between a medical device and an external device are provided. In one example, a medical device includes a classification component and a communication component. The classification component is configured to determine a classification for data generated by the medical device. The classification component is also configured to determine an urgency level for an advertising data packet based on the classification for the data. The communication component is also configured to broadcast the advertising data packet for the medical device at a defined beaconing rate based on the urgency level for the advertising data packet.

Abstract: A medical device is configured to generate an acceleration signal and a temperature signal. The device is configured to determine an activity metric from the acceleration signal that is representative of patient physical activity. In response to determining that the activity metric is equal to or greater than a previously determined activity metric, the device is configured to adjust a target cardiac pacing rate based at least on a temperature change determined from the temperature signal. The device may include a pulse generator for generating cardiac pacing pulses based on the target cardiac pacing rate.
