    Abstract: A transcatheter valve prosthesis includes a balloon expandable stent and a prosthetic valve. An inflow portion of the stent includes a plurality of crowns and a plurality of struts with each crown being formed between a pair of opposing struts. Endmost inflow side openings and endmost inflow crowns are formed at the inflow end of the stent and the inflow end of the stent has a total of twelve endmost inflow crowns. An outflow portion of the stent includes a plurality of crowns and a plurality of struts with each crown being formed between a pair of opposing struts. Endmost outflow crowns are formed at the outflow end of the stent and the outflow end of the stent has a total of six endmost outflow crowns. The prosthetic valve is disposed within and secured to the stent.

    Abstract: A prosthesis having a radially expanded configuration and a radially compressed configuration includes a frame with a plurality of infolding longitudinal segments. Each of the infolding longitudinal segments of the frame extend an entire length of the frame and is configured to deform radially inward when the prosthesis is in the radially compressed configuration such that a series of longitudinally aligned apices of each infolding longitudinal segment is disposed radially inward of the remainder of the prosthesis. In an embodiment, the frame also includes a plurality of outfolding longitudinal segments. Each of the outfolding longitudinal segments of the frame extend an entire length of the frame and is configured to deform radially outward when the prosthesis is in the radially compressed configuration such that a series of longitudinally aligned apices of each outfolding longitudinal segment is disposed radially outward of the remainder of the prosthesis.

    Abstract: A delivery system for prosthetic heart valves are provided. The delivery system includes a flexible shaft, a distal sheath capsule configured to contain the prosthetic heart valve, an inner steerable catheter including an inner distal flex component, and an outer steerable catheter including an outer distal flex component. The inner distal flex component includes a first cut pattern and a second cut pattern distal to the first cut pattern. The outer distal flex component includes a third cut pattern. The inner steerable catheter is rotatable at least 90 degrees relative to the outer steerable catheter when the third cut pattern of the outer distal flex component is disposed over at least a portion of the first cut pattern of the inner distal flex component and each of the inner steerable catheter and the outer steerable catheter is in the flexed configuration.

    Abstract: A system for percutaneous delivery of a stented prosthetic heart valve. The system includes a delivery device with a self-expanding prosthetic heart valve attached thereto and a delivery sheath with an opening on a distal end thereof. The delivery sheath includes a funnel on a proximal end thereof. The delivery device is inserted into the funnel of the delivery sheath. As the delivery device is advanced into the funnel, the expanded heart valve is compressed by the shape of the funnel into a crimped arrangement. The delivery device further advances the heart valve distally within the delivery sheath past the delivery sheath opening. The delivery device is advanced relative to the delivery sheath in transitioning the heart valve from a crimped arrangement to the expanded and deployed arrangement.
