Abstract: Certain embodiments of the present disclosure provide a prosthetic valve (e.g., prosthetic heart valve) and a valve delivery apparatus for delivery of the prosthetic valve to a native valve site via the human vasculature. The delivery apparatus is particularly suited for advancing a prosthetic heart valve through the aorta (i.e., in a retrograde approach) for replacing a diseased native aortic valve. The delivery apparatus in particular embodiments is configured to deploy a prosthetic valve from a delivery sheath in a precise and controlled manner at the target location within the body.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an arrangement, a loop-shaped support, a prosthetic heart valve and a method of repairing or replacing a native heart valve. With the method or the arrangement, leakage or regurgitation between a prosthetic heart valve and the surrounding valve tissue is prevented. In one embodiment, an arrangement for replacement or repair of a native heart valve is provided, which comprises a loop-shaped support 41 and a prosthetic heart valve 70 and wherein an outer segment 32 of the loop-shaped support 41 is positionable towards surrounding valve tissue of a native heart valve and wherein an outer surface 74 of the prosthetic heart valve 70 is positionable towards an inner segment 34 of the loop-shaped support 41 so as to prevent paravalvular leakage or regurgitation between the prosthetic heart valve 70 and the surrounding valve tissue of the native heart valve.

Abstract: This invention relates to the design and function of a compressible valve replacement prosthesis, collared or uncollared, which can be deployed into a beating heart without extracorporeal circulation using a transcatheter delivery system. The design as discussed focuses on the deployment of a device via a minimally invasive fashion and by way of example considers a minimally invasive surgical procedure preferably utilizing the intercostal or subxyphoid space for valve introduction. In order to accomplish this, the valve is formed in such a manner that it can be compressed to fit within a delivery system and secondarily ejected from the delivery system into the annulus of a target valve such as a mitral valve or tricuspid valve.

Abstract: This disclosure is directed to prosthetic heart valves having elongated sealing members. As one example, a prosthetic heart valve comprises an annular frame, a leaflet assembly comprising a plurality of leaflets, and a skirt assembly comprising an inner skirt, an outer skirt, and/or a third skirt. The frame is radially compressible and expandable between a radially compressed state and a radially expanded state and comprises a plurality of apices at an inflow end. The skirt assembly forms a pocket at the inflow end of the frame that creates extra space between the inflow end of the frame and the skirt assembly when the frame is in the radially expanded state. This pocket allows the apices at the inflow end of the frame to move towards an inflow end of the pocket when the frame is radially compressed to the radially compressed state without protruding through the skirt assembly.

Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve for implantation at a native heart valve includes a multi-part frame. The multi-part frame includes a cylindrical main body and a ventricular anchor component surrounding the main body. The main body includes a plurality of struts arranged in a lattice pattern. The ventricular anchor component is attached to the main body only at an outflow end of the main body and extends toward an inflow end of the main body. The prosthetic valve further includes a valve structure having three leaflets made from pericardium. The multi-part frame is radially compressible for delivery within a sheath of a delivery catheter and is self-expandable for deployment within an annulus of the native valve. The main body and the ventricular anchor component are formed separately and are attached by a locking mechanism for reducing strain between the main body and the ventricular anchor component.

Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve for implantation within a native atrioventricular heart valve. The prosthetic heart valve includes a self-expanding frame having an annular main body and a valve member disposed within the main body. The prosthetic heart valve includes an atrial sealing member formed by a fabric cover and a plurality of arms that are arranged side-by-side in a circumferential direction around the main body. The atrial sealing member extends radially outwardly from the main body and a peripheral portion of the atrial sealing member curves upwardly for conforming to surrounding native anatomy. The prosthetic heart valve further includes one or more ventricular anchors extending from the main body for capturing native leaflet tissue and thereby securing the prosthetic heart valve within the native atrioventricular heart valve.
