摘要： A mobile terminal includes a wireless communication unit configured to scan at least one frequency band and a controller, wherein the controller is configured to generate a channel list comprising broadcast channels individually having signal strength that meets a reference value, each of the broadcast channels being assigned to the scanned at least one frequency band and update the channel list based upon a repeated scan of the at least one frequency band performed by the wireless communication unit.

摘要： A mobile terminal and method of controlling a broadcast in a mobile terminal are provided, by which whether to update channel/program relevant data is determined by checking a presence or absence of modification of previously stored channel/program relevant data in a simple manner. The present invention includes a memory storing channel/program relevant data, a wireless communication unit receiving first channel/program relevant data, and a controller determining whether the received first channel/program relevant data matches first channel/program relevant data stored in the memory, controlling the wireless communication unit to receive entire channel/program relevant data if the received first channel/program relevant data does not match the stored first channel/program relevant data, and updating the stored first channel/program relevant data with reference to the received entire channel/program relevant data.

摘要： A mobile communication terminal and method of tuning a broadcast frequency in a mobile communication terminal are provided that reduces a time for performing frequency tuning when handover occurs during broadcast reception in a communication terminal. The present invention includes receiving a broadcast signal including location information, frequency link information, and transmission signal identification information, obtaining current cell information of the mobile communication terminal and neighbor cell information using the location information, obtaining frequency information of a neighbor cell to the mobile communication terminal using the frequency link information, and searching for the frequency matched to a currently received broadcast signal using the obtained frequency information for the neighbor cell and the transmission signal identification information.
