    摘要： A fan assembly with a single fan housing that has at least one fan passage adapted to allow air to flow through the housing. A separate fan subassembly is snapped into a motor housing formed within the passages of the fan housing. The subassembly includes an electric motor that rotates an impeller. The rotation of the impeller creates an airflow through the air passage. Attached to the surface of the housing is a conductor that extends from the motor, to an electrical connector that supplies power to the motor from an external power source. The air passage has rounded entrances and is formed such that the passage is shaped like a venturi tube. The rounded edges reduce the head loss through the passage by an order of magnitude, decreasing the pressure drop across the housing and improving the overall efficiency of the fan.

    摘要： A door assembly which includes a door that slides open and closed to alternatively expose and cover components of a computer system. The door assembly includes a rack and pinion system that prevents racking of the door. The non-racking feature allows for the door to be wider than prior art doors such that more components may be easily accessed by a computer user. The door assembly also includes a spring assembly for automatically closing the door, a dampener for moderating the movement of the door, and a latching mechanism that holds the door open. In one embodiment the latch mechanism is a push-push latch and the spring of the spring assembly is a constant force spring.

    摘要： A module is sandwiched between an underlying member and a superimposed enclosure. The underlying member may be a base or another enclosure. The module is constructed so that it can be secured to the underlying member. The superimposed member has feet formed with horizontal grooves which fit into pockets in corners of the module. A slide is horizontally movable in the module between retracted position and an operative position. In the operative position edges of the slide engage in the grooves in the feet to lock the superimposed enclosure to the module and thereby to the underlying member. The slide may be detachably secured in operative position.
