摘要： This disassembly of a pre-cut block of packaging material into component pieces and the selective dispensing of the component pieces is accomplished by a mechanism including a disassembling apparatus and a dispensing apparatus surrounded by a housing. The disassembling apparatus accepts individual pre-cut blocks from a queue and compresses a portion of the respective pre-cut block to cause separation into the plurality of component pieces. The plurality of component pieces then fall into the dispensing apparatus, which selectively dispenses the pieces separated as desired by a user.

摘要： The present invention provides a magazine-based library that is capable of operating on a magazine data storage element comprised of a plurality of hard disk drives and an interface that allows data to be transferred between the hard disk drives and a host computer. One embodiment of the library comprises a plurality of shelves that are each capable of supporting at least one magazine data storage element, one or more drives, and a magazine transport that is capable of moving a magazine data storage element between any one of the shelves and any one of the drives. The present invention also provides a magazine data storage element drive that is capable of being used in stand-alone mode, i.e., outside of a magazine-based library.

摘要： A computer housing or case contains computer system components including a display unit, a processor, and a computer power supply unit. One or more handles are positioned at a side of the case to allow a user to hold the encased computer system while viewing the display. A case has a support interface structure to hold the case steady in an upright position. The support interface structure of the case mates with a complimentary support interface in the weight-supporting base unit and mates with guides to align a power supply port in the case to contact a power supply port in the base unit. A base unit has a drawer guide to receive a keyboard by lifting the keyboard above a support surface. A modular computer system comprises a tablet computer, a base unit, and a remote keyboard. A first infrared communication device couples the tablet computer to the remote keyboard and other input peripherals. A second infrared communication device couples the tablet computer to a remote printer. A radio frequency network adapter couples the tablet computer to the base unit, which provides additional communications to an external communications network.

摘要： A bioreactor for the ex vivo maintenance and growth of mammalian cells includes a disposable, self contained cell cassette, a system manager, an incubator unit matable with a plurality of the cassettes and a processor unit. The cell cassette includes a substantially circular cell growth chamber defined between a substantially planar cell bed and a gas permeable, liquid impervious membrane. A media inlet enters the cell growth chamber communicates at a radially central portion of the cell bed. A plurality of media outlets are radially outwardly spaced from the media inlet by a distance sufficient for cell growth to occur between the inlet and the outlets. The outlets are substantially equiangularly circumferentially spaced about the cell growth chamber.
