摘要: A kickstand assembly comprises a backplate including a backplate deploy magnet having a first magnetic pole orientation. An upper kickstand plate is slidably connected to the backplate, and a lower kickstand plate is rotatably coupled to the upper kickstand plate. The lower kickstand plate includes a closing magnet having a second magnetic pole orientation that attracts the backplate deploy magnet, and an opening magnet laterally spaced from the closing magnet and having the first magnetic pole orientation that repels the backplate deploy magnet to cause the lower kickstand plate to rotate about the upper kickstand plate when the upper kickstand plate is laterally translated relative to the backplate.

摘要: A lightweight, protective case for a laptop computer includes an integrated, fold-out tilt stand. In a transport position, a stand component is received within a designated region such as a recessed cavity on the bottom of a keyboard shell component, and one or more stand retaining members. In a use position, the stand component extends outwardly from the bottom surface of the keyboard shell component, with the stand retaining member(s) in a straightened condition, thereby maintaining the keyboard shell component at an angle relative to a support surface. The stand retaining member(s) may be flexible or hinged, and including a magnetic or other structure for maintaining the stand component against the keyboard shell component when not in use. The upper edge of the stand component and/or the upper end of the stand retaining member may be hingedly affixed with flexible materials that extends through the keyboard shell component.

摘要: Support systems and stands for electronic devices include tilt hinges, lift arms, and their component parts. Some tilt hinges include assemblies for guiding and retaining bars or protrusions into preferred positioning within receiver openings to unify the parts, particularly as they move, and to reduce wobble or slop in the joints. Lift arms provide simplified and low-cost guidance and counterbalance mechanisms for controlling movement of the electronic device relative to the base of a stand. In some cases, the lift arms have sheaths to help protect or cover mechanisms while allowing additional space for the mechanisms within the lift arm. Other interconnection systems hide and protect a connector interface between the stand and the electronic device within a housing until unlocked and the connector is moved into an exposed position. These systems improve efficiency, comfort, ergonomics, accessibility, and user satisfaction of the electronic devices and their supports.

摘要: A tablet information handling system selectively couples to a charging stand and charging dock with opposing sets of spaced magnets to have magnetic attraction hold a wireless charging receiver aligned with a wireless charger. Magnetic attraction is greatest when the tablet information handling system couples in a landscape or portrait orientation and is reduced for removal of the tablet information handling system by rotating to an offset orientation so that magnets align with opposing spaces, resulting in a reduced magnetic attraction. A sensor disposed in a space detects the offset rotation by detecting the increased magnetic flux of the magnet aligning with the space so that a user interface can provide an end user with an indication that the tablet information handling system is positioned for separation from the charging stand or charging dock.
