    Abstract: Devices and methods for treatment of a patient's vasculature are described. Embodiments may include an implant having multiple mesh layers. A first and second layer of the implant may be formed by folding over a single mesh and the third layer may be formed from a different mesh. The first, second, and third layers may be either a stasis or a structural layer and may be arranged in different orders. Embodiments may also include structures to assist in the expansion of the device. These structures may include an expandable loop or reinforcing finger extensions. Embodiments may also include a corrugation or ridge around a middle section of the implant to assist in deployment.

    Abstract: Devices and methods for treatment of a patient's vasculature are described. Embodiments may include an implant having an expandable frame made up of a plurality of elongate biodegradable filaments that extend from a proximal to distal end of the implant, and a permeable shell that extends from the proximal end to a middle region of the expandable frame. Embodiments may also include an implant having a first permeable shell having a proximal hub and an open distal end and a second permeable shell having a distal hub and an open proximal end. The distal end of the first permeable shell may be releasably coupled to the proximal end of the second permeable shell.

The implant may have a first unrestrained preset configuration comprising a dome portion and a brim portion, having a distal end with an outer surface having a convex shape. The implant may have a second deployed configuration that is an inversion of the first unrestrained configuration. The second deployed configuration has an open distal end and has an inner surface having a concave shape.

    Abstract: An embolic coil having a stretch resistant member for resisting stretching or unwinding of the embolic coil. A tubular member may be attached to a proximal end of the embolic coil. A stretch resistant member may extend through the tubular member and the embolic coil to be attached at its distal end to the embolic coil. The stretch resistant member may include an enlargement to prevent the stretch resistant member from withdrawing into the tubular member. The stretch resistant member may comprise a one-piece design comprising a tether or a two-piece design comprising a tether in combination with another component such as a filament, a braid, or an eyelet. The stretch resistant member may be wavy to allow slack. The distal end of the stretch resistant member may be attached to the embolic coil by tying a knot, melting into a tip, or the use of adhesives, welding, or soldering.
