摘要: Techniques for augmenting or modifying ordered results include sending a search query to a location service, receiving ordered results responsive to the search query, and augmenting or modifying the search results based on user-specific information stored locally at a consumer computing device. The ordered results may be augmented by reordering a search result in the list of search results based on the user-specific information, and/or by graphically representing a location included in the ordered search results based on the user-specific information. The augmented search results may be presented on a display associated with the consumer computing device in a manner specific to a user of the consumer computing device.

The processor may also determine a first user profile from a plurality of user profiles that corresponds to the domain name based on profile information corresponding to one or more of profile history data, profile favorites data, or administrative settings data. The processor may also launch the new instance of the website in a browser according to the first user profile.

摘要: Methods and devices for initiating application and system modal control of a computer device based on predicted locations of a hand outside of a field of view using a computer device are disclosed. The method includes receiving hand motion information from a hand positional tracking system that tracks a position of a hand of a user. The method also includes determining the hand is outside a field of view of the computer device based on the hand motion information. The method further includes predicting a location of the hand while outside the field of view. The method also includes interacting with a secondary UX on the display based on the predicted location of the hand.

摘要: Technologies are described for generating geographically-driven group communications involve maintaining location information for multiple user devices, data defining geographic regions, and rules that identify a geographical region to which the rules applies and a communication and payload to be sent. When an update in the location information, geographical regions or rules is detected, an evaluation is performed to determine whether a user client device is located in the geographical region identified for the rule. If so, the communication and payload defined in the rule are sent to the user client devices for a group of users located in the geographical region for the rule. In some examples, the rule defines a group characteristic condition and the communication and payload are sent to the user client devices for users that satisfy the group characteristic condition.

摘要: Search histories of users are collected and correlated with the application download or usage history of the users to identify queries that are correlated with the use of particular applications. The search histories can come from a variety of sources such as map applications and web browsing applications. The correlations are used to generate a mapping of queries to applications. The mapping can be later used to recommend applications to a user based on a recent query submitted by the user or based on a subset of the search history of the user. In this way, a user can be recommended applications based on their interests as expressed through their search history.

摘要: A first user of a smart phone or vehicle navigation system may invite a second user of a smart phone or vehicle navigation system to participate in a shared travel experience where the second user follows the first user. While on the shared trip, the first user is provided the location of the second user along with a route to a selected destination. The second user is provided the location of the first user, along with the route to the selected destination. The first user is able to identify points of interest on the route, which are then presented to the second user. A network is established that allows the first and second user to have a two-way conversation, and to synchronize the music that is listened to by the first user and the second user to simulate the experience of being together in the same vehicle.
