Abstract: Implementations of the subject matter described herein provide a keyboard and an electronic device. The keyboard comprises a touch-sensitive region configured to send an indication of a position of a touch to the electronic device. The electronic device may display a menu including a plurality of configurable menu items. A shape of the menu matches a shape of the touch-sensitive region, and the menu item corresponding to the touch position may be highlighted, such that the user may acknowledge the touch position without looking at the keyboard. In this case, input efficiency may be improved in case of selecting menu items, since the user does not need to divert its sight from the display to the keyboard or the pointing device.

Abstract: A pointing device is provided. In one implementation, the pointing device includes a body, a control member received in a recess of the body and rotatable with respect to the body, a first rotation tracking sensor arranged in the recess and configured to track a rotation of the control member about a first axis and a second axis perpendicular to the first axis in a Cartesian coordinate system that is defined with respect to the recess, and a second rotation tracking sensor arranged in the recess and configured to track a rotation of the control member about a third axis perpendicular to the first and second axes in the Cartesian coordinate system.
