摘要: A walkway for a liquid heat transfer cabinet for food products to preclude contamination of the liquid heat transfer medium so that an operator can manually load and unload the cabinet with product to be subjected to a heat transfer operation. The walkway includes a fixed channel-shaped member mounted above the floor so that the liquid level cannot enter the fixed member and a swingable channel-shaped member functioning as a cover to the fixed member and also disposable in open position to define a walkway area like the fixed member and above the liquid level. In closed position the cover member prevents liquid from entering the area of the fixed channel-shaped member.

摘要: The present invention is related to methods and apparatus that can advantageously reduce a peak to average signal level exhibited by single or by multicarrier multibearer waveforms. Embodiments of the invention further advantageously can manipulate the statistics of the waveform without expanding the spectral bandwidth of the allocated channels. Embodiments of the invention can be applied to either multiple carrier or single carrier systems to constrain an output signal within predetermined peak to average bounds. Advantageously, the techniques can be used to enhance the utilization of existing multicarrier RF transmitters, including those found in third generation cellular base stations. However, the peak to average power level managing techniques disclosed herein can apply to any band-limited communication system and any type of modulation. The techniques can apply to multiple signals and can apply to a wide variety of modulation schemes or combinations therof.

摘要: A missile launcher for use on a surface vessel includes an array of vertical sleeves each being of a size to receive a missile carrying container. The sleeves are maintained in a linear array by means of a series of frames and the lower, or breech, ends of the sleeves are collectively connected to a plenum into which water is injected during a hot launch of a missile. A selected one of the sleeves does not carry a missile but rather, functions as an exhaust or gas take up for the exhaust gases of the other missiles.
