摘要: A rob material includes an elongated matrix made of synthetic resin, a plurality of first elongated textile elements, and a plurality of second elongated textile elements, the first and second elements being embeded within the matrix, parallel to each other along the matrix, each of the first elements being composed of a plurality of yarns braided together, the second elements having a lower breaking elongation rate than said first elements. In such a rod material, the second elements have a substantially complete elasticity, and the first elements have such an elongation rate as to elongate further after the fracture of the second elements. Therefore, the stress-strain curve of the rod material shows a high elastic modulus in the elastic region and a high breaking elongation rate. In other words, the stress-strain behavior is similar to that of steel rods.

摘要: A textile reinforced structural component including: a structural component body made of a structural filler; first parallel textile elements; second parallel textile elements crossing the first parallel textile elements at first crossing portions, each of the first textile elements and the second textile elements including at least one row of first textiles and a first resin matrix, made of a first resin, for bonding the first textiles; and an attaching mechanism for attaching the first reinforcement elements and the second reinforcement elements at corresponding first crossing portions to form a grid member. The attaching means includes the first resin. The first and the second reinforcement elements are impregnated with the first resin before attachment thereof, and the grid member is embedded in the structural component body.

摘要: A concrete reinforcing unit adapted to be embedded in the concrete for concrete construction. The concrete reinforcing unit includes: first parallel textile elements; second parallel textile elements crossing the first parallel textile elements at first crossing portions, each of the first textile elements and the second textile elements including at least one row of first textiles and a first resin matrix, made of a first resin, for bonding the first textiles; and an attaching mechanism for attaching the first reinforcing elements and the second reinforcing elements at corresponding first crossing portions to form a grid member having opposite ends.

摘要: A new method for preparation of organic compost by incorporating zeolite into excretions from domestic animals. In the method, zeolite of about 10 to 30% relative to the total weight of excretions is homogeneously mixed and then piled for a predetermined period so that the water content of a surface portion of the pile of the mixture decreases to about 25% by weight or less, and the average water content of the entire pile decreases to about 55% by weight or less. The piled mixture is then supplied to a fermentation vessel in which it is scooped and turned over such that a high water content portion inside the low water content surface portion is divided into small masses and the low water content surface portion is divided into fine powders, so that the fine powders are spread around the small masses to thereby achieve effective aerobic fermentation in the vessel.

摘要: When conductive particles are dispersed beyond the percolation threshold, electric conductive paths are formed between the electrode by chains of particles contacting with each other between the electrodes. Elongation of this composite results in an increase in the gap distances between conductive particles. This results in the increase in the electric resistance of the composites. It is found that strain sensors can be made by the use of this nature. Strains of iron frames or iron-concrete are known by the change of electric resistance of the sensors which are set on a surface of the place to be monitored. Main fields of the application of the present sensors are safety monitoring systems for buildings, bridges, tunnels, dams, etc. The sensors are also applicable for tanks of chemicals, aircraft, ships and mega-floats.
