摘要: A multiple driven axle vehicle, such as a four-wheel drive recreational vehicle having its front, steerable wheels being optionally driven by providing double acting overrunning clutches in the hubs of the front wheels. A transmission mechanism is provided for driving the front, optionally driven wheels slower than the driving surface otherwise drives those wheels so that the slower driven wheels overrun and do not engage when the steerable wheels are turned as the vehicle is driven through a turn, thereby eliminating the need for a differential between the steerable wheels and between the front and rear wheels. The overrunning roller clutches of the optionally driven hubs desirably include an intermittent friction apparatus operative between the roller cage and the vehicle chassis to intermittently exert a force tending to retard rotation of the cage with respect to the chassis, thereby indexing the roller cage and rollers to the forward or reverse engagable position. The intermittent nature of the friction permits the roller cage and rollers to return to the central, neutral position when rotation of the cage with respect to the chassis stops. The roller clutches further include a generally cylindrical cam driven by the transmission and located radially inward of the rollers and roller cage. The cam surface includes a ridge associated with at least some of the rollers for inhibiting inertial movement of the rollers from the forward engagable position to the reverse engagable position, as for example during sudden braking.

摘要: An insulated housing assembly for the transport and storage of food items while maintaining the temperature of the food items. The invention provides lower and upper assembly portions which when mated define a compartment for the storage of stackable food containers. The upper and lower asemblies are surrounded by a layer of insulating material to prevent the loss of heat from the food items contained within the compartment. The insulated housing assembly also incudes a swivable handle in a recess for facilitating carrying the insulated assembly. Also included in another recess is a handle for manipulating the containers disposed within the compartent, which have catches for attchment of the handle.

摘要: A camouflage cover for equipping an outdoor enclosure with three-dimensional nature effects includes a plurality of elongated nature-effect strands that drape over the enclosure in a substantially vertical arrangement. The vine-like nature-effect strands help conceal hard lines and corners of the enclosure structure. The cover may include adjustment straps that allow a single cover to adapt to a number of enclosure structures. The adjustment straps, where used, may include interwoven cords and cord locks for adjusting tension of the straps. The nature-effect strands may have different camouflage patterns so that an enclosure can have an appropriate camouflage scheme no matter what season or environment. Tiebacks may optionally be used to permit horizontal adjustment of the nature-effect strands, in order to prevent allow free access to windows and doorways. Auxiliary loops may also be provided to allow attachment of additional nature effects by a user.

摘要: The subject invention discloses an arbor comprising a frame having at least three wall supports attachable to each other, at least three legs, each leg attachable to the wall supports, a removable cover which overhangs the wall supports, and a plurality of side panels which may include mesh areas and zippered openings to allow access to the interior of the arbor. The side panels may be provided with anchoring strips to anchor the arbor to the ground. Each of the side panels may be removably attachable to an appropriate portion of the cover by means including a hook and loop strip appropriately disposed on adjacent edges of these components. Further, the arbor may also comprise roof supports where a peaked arbor is desired. The wall supports, roof supports, and legs may all be formed of respective members which can be selectively connectable to each other for length when the arbor is in use or detached from each other for convenience in storage and transportation. The wall supports may be connectable to each other and to respective roof supports and legs by wall joints which may provide a plurality of hollow tubes sized to selectively receive an end of the appropriate roof member, wall member, or leg. Similarly, a peak joint may be comprised of a backing and a plurality of tubes having hollowed ends adapted to receive the mating ends of the roof support.

摘要: A reinforced archery arrow shaft includes a tubular core, with an attached two-part sleeve either covering the core, or disposed inside the core as a liner. The core may include carbon therein. The sleeve includes at least one higher-density front section formed from a fabric material, which is wrapped around and affixed to the core. The sleeve also includes a lower-density rear section wrapped around and affixed to the core behind the front section. The sleeve fabric may have a decorative design or pattern on the exterior surface thereof. The higher density of the front section provides front-of-center weight distribution in the finished arrow shaft. Optionally, accessories may be attached to the arrow shaft to form an arrow.

摘要: A stove for outdoor use includes a hollow shell formed from heat-tolerant material, and a substructure for supporting the shell. The stove also includes a burner assembly, operatively attached to the shell or to the substructure, and a vessel support rack for placement on the shell. The support rack is formed from multiple interconnected segments. A first vessel-supporting surface is defined on a first side of the support rack, for supporting a cooking vessel having a substantially flat lower surface. A second vessel-supporting surface is defined on a second side of the support rack, for supporting a cooking vessel having a substantially non-flat lower surface. The second vessel-supporting surface may be configured to support a concave cooking implement, such as a wok thereon. The support rack is configured to fit into the shell with either the first vessel-supporting surface or the second vessel-supporting surface facing upwardly.

摘要: A collapsible and portable enclosure, for providing covering concealment to a user, includes one or more flexible plastic window panels which function as one-way mirrors during daylight hours. The enclosure includes a fabric cover having at least one side wall, and a support structure for supporting the fabric cover. The support structure may include a plurality of collapsible hub-and-strut assemblies. The fabric cover has at least one window opening formed through the side wall, and a flexible panel extending across the window opening. The flexible panel has a partially reflective exterior surface which partially reflects light and partially transmits light, allowing the flexible panel to effectively function as a one-way mirror. Optionally, the flexible panel may be removable and replaceable, allowing a hunter to shoot through the panel and to replace it later.

摘要: Scent-suppressing fiber to be woven into articles of clothing or other equipment formed of fabric to inhibit or eliminate the emission of scents when the wearer is in the vicinity of wildlife. The fiber is a conventional thread coated with carbon. A fabric sheet is formed completely of woven carbon scent-suppressing fibers, or alternatively may be formed of carbon scent-suppressing fibers interwoven with conventional fibers. The resulting fabric sheet is formed into articles of clothing to suppress scent emission that highly sensitive wild creatures can detect. Because the fiber is structurally a part of the clothing article, its cost is less than if the scent-suppressing fiber were applied superficially, as in a sandwich type layering system. Also, because the fiber is continuously present in the material, the scent-suppressing capability covers the entire garment and is not limited only to large surface areas.

摘要: A method of applying a decorative undercoat and a sound-dampening elastomeric outer coating onto a workpiece may be used on a workpiece that is expected to movably contact another adjacent component when used as part of an assembly. The workpiece may be roughened through sanding by machine or by hand, and then may be sprayed with a base paint coat. The workpiece is then placed in a baking chamber where the base coat is allowed to partially cure so that a subsequent coating will adhere thereto. The workpiece is then coated with an image bearing film, and is then again heated to cure the decorative image-bearing film. Then, the workpiece is sprayed with an elastomeric coating over the dried decorative film and allowed to final cure in a baking chamber.
