The calibration device 10a uses the supplied picture data to calculate parameters in order to perform picture positioning, color adjustment, brightness adjustment and other adjustments and corrections, and based on the calculation results transforms the original picture data, generates and supplies signals indicating projection conditions to each of the projectors 3, and performs image calibration control of the pictures projected by each projector 3. Here at the time of taking pictures, by installing on the image pick-up device 11 a shielding member 12 formed into a tetragonal pyramid shape, the light-receiving part of the image pick-up device 11 and the screen are completely shielded from ambient external light. Pictures projected from the adjoining projection units overlap on the screen and are configured to form one picture on the screen. In this manner, highly accurate projected pictures are obtained with no borders between the pictures adjacent to each other. The height and width of the pictures projected onto the screen are greater than the height and width on the side of the projection device that faces the screen.

摘要： A rotary cutter head for use with a rotating filament trimmer in which a reel for winding cords or filaments is held between a housing covering a lower portion thereof and a retainer or hub fixed on the driven rotating shaft of the trimmer unit and is rotatably disposed within the housing. Within the bore of the reel, an axially movable slider is normally biased toward the retainer by the elastic force of a spring so that meshing engagement occurs between a peripheral array of axially projecting tongues formed on one end of the slider and a plurality of radial teeth-like ribs formed on the inner side of the retainer and establishes a driving connection to rotate the reels. By applying an axial impact against the housing, the slider is moved axially by inertial forces against the biasing force of the spring to release that engagement, and axially projecting detent fingers formed around the other end of the slider press against the opposed slopes of a circular rib formed on the inner side of the housing and bring about both positive relative rotation of the reel and fix a limit to such rotation to a predetermined amount thereby to play out a limited length of fresh cords. In order that the reel may rotate in an opposite direction to rewind the cords, moreover, the radial ribs formed on the retainer and the tongues of the slider are formed with opposed cooperating cam slopes which force the slider axially until the tongues are clear of the ribs during backward rotation.

摘要： An electrophotographic apparatus of the retention type is provided with a record paper detection assembly which generates a paper shortage signal when the number of record papers stored in a paper cassette is decreased to a predetermined small number substantially equal to the number of copies which can be formed from a single latent image. When the paper shortage signal is produced during a retention copy for a document, the copying operation is completed for the current document, but further copying operation for a next document is inhibited. After the copying operation for the current document has been finished, an indication lamp is lighted to indicate that the remaining number of record papers in the cassette has been reduced to the predetermined number. Further, the copying operation for the next document which has been set on a document table can be initiated automatically after the paper cassette with a sufficient number of papers stored therein has been attached to the apparatus.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image carrier rotatably disposed in a main body and having an image carrier surface, a transfer unit for transferring a toner image formed on the image carrier surface to a recording member, and a cleaning blade located in a downstream side of the transfer unit in a rotational direction of the image carrier and scraping a residual toner left on the image carrier surface. The transfer unit is located on a portion of the image carrier such that an imaginary normal extending outward from the image carrier surface is directed upward with respect to a horizontal direction and the transfer unit transfers the toner image to a lower surface of the recording member. The cleaning blade is brought into contact with a downward moving portion of the image carrier which has passed through the transfer unit, at a contact angle of not less than 90.degree. relative to the downstream portion of the carrier in a "with" contact state, and the residual toner scraped by the cleaning blade is moved downard along an upper surface of the cleaning blade.

摘要： A control lever assembly for a lawn mower has a main lever and an auxiliary lever pivotably mounted on lawn mower handle. The main lever is operatively connected through spring biased wire to tend to open a clutch and apply a brake for a rotary cutter of the lawn mower. The auxiliary lever when manually held against the mower handle pushes a resilient arm on the main lever out of engagement with a first stop on the body, thereby automatically causing the main lever to connect the clutch and disengage the brake. A spring biased second movable stop on the auxiliary lever is received in a recess in the main lever to detent the main lever in the locked position for operation of the mower. When the auxiliary lever is released manually by the operator, the second movable stop carried thereby is retracted out of the recess on the main lever to automatically return the wire to disconnect the clutch and engage the brake.
